Bumping / updating this old thread.

ICE finally transitioned to the 320, in the form of a carry sized gun (3.9” barrel compact slide and full length 17 round grip) with the X style grip in 2019. The guns were issued with a Streamlight Tlr-1.

All .40 cal and .38 spl handguns and Remington 870 shotguns were deauthorized in 2020.

In 2021 ICE began issuing the same gun with the Romeo1PRO red dot sight. The first federal LE Agency to issue red dots as standard to all LEOs.

Previously issued 320 were upgraded via slide swaps snd issuance of RDS appropriate holsters. Around the same time the issued weapons mounted light transitioned to the TLR7A. TLR7A’s will only be issued going forward but will not be swapped.

All current ICE handgun options are now striker fired 9mms.

POW Options are:

DHS SKU SIG P320 series
LE / IOP SIG P365 series (365, 365X, 365XL)
Glock Gen 3/4/5 - 17, 19, 26, 45
Glock Gen 4/5 MOS 17, 19, 45

Surprisingly milling POW guns for one of the approved optics is authorized.

Optics - RMR type 2 06/07, SIG Romeo1PRO, Romeo2, Romeo Zero, Romeo Zero Elite

The MPX finally appeared in 2022 in both 4” and 8” with Romeo 4T optics. The semi auto versions were recalled a few months after issue and are pending repair / upgrade. The MPX was supposed to be a replacement for the 870s deauthorized at the end of 2020 but few MPX have made it to the field.

Thanks for sharing! Do you know if the SIG P226 in 9mm was ever approved by DHS?
