Wilson P320 Grip Stupid Question
Sorry.. Google not helping me here.

What's the difference between the "WCP320 Carry" and the "WCP320 Carry II" grip modules?

Carry II fits subcompact/Xcompact slide but offers full size mag capability. i.e. the grip is full size

Gotcha. Thanks. So, If my P320 is the "Carry" model, sounds like I need the 'non-II.' Thank you.

Either frame will work with your slide. The difference is with the "Carry" the rail ends flush with the end of the slide. With the "Carry II" the slide sits about a 1/4" beyond the end of the rail on the dust cover. If you had a subcompact 3.6" barreled pistol the "Carry II" rail would be flush with the end of the slide.

I hope that makes sense.

It does make sense, thanks. 1 more question: Does the regular Carry work only with the Carry slide, or will a full size slide also work?

It'll work. It would look like this:

Yes, the regular Carry will work with a full size slide. Wilson Combat has a link to a compatibility chart in the product discription of their grip modules.

Don't forget you have the choice between Black, Coyote, Grey and Green. I kinda like the Green.

There IS a small caveat to your statement. You have to be discussing a 9/.357Sig/.40 weapon. While the .45 ACP FCU will fit any grip, Wilson will NOT allow .45 mags to be loaded into its grips. Also, the full sized grip leaves an open space if you have a Carry .45 grip.

But .45 FCU's will shoot the other calibres if you use an appropriate conversion kit.

I have a Carry and bought the "Carry" version and it works great. I also have an X-Carry and bought the Carry II and it also works great. They have a compatibility chart they sent me.

They also describe some of the changes to the Carry II on the site, but the Carry and Carry II are not interchangable.

Not a stupid question since they are not interchangable.

I use the Carry II grip on my P320 Compact (a.k.a. M18) because of the shorter rail / dust cover. I like how it leaves part of the slide exposed at the front, similar in appearance to the old classic P-22X series pistols I was used to. I just don't care for the original look of the M18 with the full length rail.

Wilson is just hitting it out of the park with their 320 and 365 grips.

That kind of pushed me to Wilson for a nice 1911...
