I've got a plain-Jane Sig 365, it's never given me any problems, but I've recently taken an interest in a Glock 43x. I'm wondering who has experience with both, and how you would rank them compared to each other?

I know many guys that are either carrying one or the other today. Two totally different pistols. The P365 conceals much easier and has the better stock trigger and sights. The G43X handles better for me. The MOS variant also offers a rail for light options. For some reason, the G43X shoots the heavier 9mm loads more precisely for me. I’d say find a friend or range that has the G43X & shoot them side by side and draw your own conclusions.

I've owned both.

The P365 is still in my collection, well ok, several of them. The 43X didn't shoot as well for me and I just prefer the Sig.

I don't think you can go wrong with either gun but I haven't found any micro compact carry gun that is better than the Sig (well for me that is).

Thanks everyone for the good information, and Q for the review. All very informative.

I had no idea the G43x was that much bigger than the 365!

I'd say get out and shoot both if you can and see how you feel. I should love the 365 but just cant keep them when I buy them. I have a 48 and love it so far with aftermarket mags and a connector change.

I have both, the 365 is light years superior if you are wanting a super concealable higher capacity sub-compact (if not closer to micro) and has an optional safety.

The 43X is HUGE for its limited capacity.

I added a P36XL a year or so ago, and soon after I picked up a complete P365 upper which was a take off from a custom gun company. Brand new, unfired and was reasonably priced (far less $$ than buying the parts from Sig) This provides a lot of versatility.

I also have a G43 (non X) just because Glock you know Wink I like it as well. With a mag extension the grip is about the same as the X version.

Still if I had to choose, the P365 series would be my choice for sure, and probably the XL variety.

I think a better comparison on the Glock vs the Sig would be Sig P365X vs the G43X or the P365 vs the G43 given the design differences in the Grip length.

Own both the standard P365 and the added the G43X afterwards. Recoil is about the same for both and the SIG has the better trigger action, although I tend to shoot the Glock better, most probably because of the taller grip and favorable for me ergonomics. The SIG has in the past served as my secondary carry option when wardrobe dictates, whereas the Glock has never been carried and likely never will be although it's so far worked flawlessly even with Shield Arms mags. The same fate can probably said about the SIG as well.

The reason is because after the first time that I shot the S&W Shield Plus I realized that it was The One. Best recoil characteristics of the three, greatly improved trigger from the Shield 2.0 (though still not as good as aftermarket options). So I picked up the S&W and both the SIG and Glock now sit mostly untouched in the safe.

I own both, but usually carry my P365(X series slide and optic added later) and reserve my Glock 43X for trips to California. If the Glock failed to arrive with my other checked baggage, it would bother me less than losing the Sig. Both carry well in Milt Sparks "Summer Special II" holsters, but I do prefer the Glock's longer grip frame when actually shooting.

I converted my Glock 43X to a 15 round capacity using parts from Shield Arms. So far, it's a good combination!

I have had several P365s in both the standard and XL versions. I have had several 43s and 43X models, too.

I always end up selling or trading the 365s off as I just don't like the feel of the standard size and the XL seems just too heavy for the shorts and T-shirt attire I almost always wear.

I do like their looks and always feel like maybe I've missed something-so I buy another, try and try and end up just flat not liking it.

I always tell myself I will never have another, but then I read some article or some post about the darned things and I'm back to thinking I must have missed something and go buy another 365 of one flavor or another.

The XLs always shot well and if they were lighter, they'd probably be my choice for concealed carry. I just don't like the feel of the regular 365s, too heavy for their small size, at least IMO.

I've tried many, many holsters for the 365s, but I don't think it's the holster, rather it, for me, seems to be the weight.

I now use a 43 and a 43X for EDC and, of course, my Glock 42. I no longer collect firearms and if one doesn't suit me more or less perfectly, after a fair trial period, it's a goner.

If I had to choose between the three Glocks and only keep one. it's probably be either the 43X or the 42. I carry an extra mag for each of them in a Snagmag and, though I certainly plan to avoid any trouble, I believe, if trouble comes, I am adequately armed with any of the three.

I generally carry IWB at the 4-5 position and either of the Glocks works well, shoots well and conceals completely.

I'm a Glock fan, but the P365 smaller size made it my choice.

Some of us can't get a good grip on the P365. It's too small. The extra grip length of the 43X looks bad in straight comparison to the P365, since for small pistols, we've been conditioned to think "The smaller, the better" and in years past, that was true, because other than expensive exotics and derringers, there were no serious caliber pocket pistols, We've reached a threshold where, for some of us, the reality is "The smaller, the harder to hold onto."

The 43X is not a big pistol, not by any stretch of the imagination, and while it will never make it as an ankle gun, it's easily concealable on the waist and in a number of other ways, and for those of us who use Glocks primarily, handling the 43X is like rolling out of bed.

A gun designer might figure out how to defy the laws of the physical world and make a 30 shot 9mm the size of a Beretta Jetfire, but if you can't control the pistol, what use is it?

I gave my 43 to my nephew after getting the 365.

For me, it isn’t even close. I like Glocks but the 365 is better in every category that matters to me by a decent margin. It also helps that the 365 is an incredibly easy gun to shoot well even being as small as it is. It is the unicorn.

I just wish I didn't have to do a whole bunch of work to the 43 just to get a trigger that's half as good as the stock 365.

I have both and carry both. The 365 is great for pocket carry. The 43x with the 15-round metal mags is great for every day carry. The 43x is easier to shoot, but significantly larger. I got rid of the 43 (no x) in favor of the 365 because it just hurt to shoot compared to the 365.

I've got a 43X, a 365, and a 365X. The Glock is my favorite and I shoot it the best. The 365X is close but still not as good for me as the Glock. I do shoot the 365 and the X more than good enough to be comfortable carrying them but the 43X is always my first choice.
