bcjwriterRange trip for my “little” guns...
So today I ventured off to the range for some off-duty guns practice. Along came my Glock 43, Sig P365, and my S&W 640-1. Here’s what I found...
G43 recoiled less than my P365 but point shooting stank...
P365 was great for point shooting
The Smith was brutal but ok for close in distances - however the sights are abysmal.
Finally - I’m getting old. The sights on all three guns began to get way too blurry for my tastes - sadly that’s my eyes fault. Also arthritis is a... well you know. The 9’s are just easier to shoot and shoot well. Even the 38 +P is pretty abrupt out of this all steel 640.

I no longer carry my 642, CCW gun is now an LCP or G-43X. I still exercise the 642 every few months, and it's painful on these 69 year old hands.

FredwardIf you get a chance, try the 365 SAS. The ports tame the recoil and the sights the vision thing. I love mine.

Il CattivoY'know, I wonder if that SAS sight isn't a reasonable solution for people having problems focusing precisely on conventional sights.

FredwardWorks great for me. I didn't want an RMR on a carry gun.In all honesty, it likely wouldn't if I had a young mans eyes. Then, of course, I'd probably get arrested.
