Well since I picked the SIG super target last week I am now lusting for more 1911's. The people's republic of Marx-a-chusetts only let's us little people buy guns that are on the approved "list". Given that there are no SIG 10MM pistols on our approved list. I want one or two of these
. Does anybody here have one or experience with springfield 1911's?

death and taxes....need i say any more.

Dan Wesson makes some nice 10mm. Any of those on the list?

The TRP looks really enticing. I've only had one and it was fine, but not a good candidate for a recommendation. It was a commander size and very basic. I was new to 1911s at the time and it ate the web of my hand alive with the mil-spec grip safety.

The TRP is in a whole other class.

However, it was solid for sure. Get ready, I started with no 1911s and now at least half of what I have is that platform, SIG and Dan Wesson with one Colt Delta Elite.

No Dan Wesson at all. the only other 10mm 1911 is the ruger and it's nice but not as nice as my sig or the TRP Springfield

I have a Springfield 1911 TRP, but it is in .45. It is a fantastic gun and I am sure it is just as good a gun in 10mm.
