In the U.S., back in '94, the Clinton Gun Ban mandated a 10 rnd limit (now expired). Gun makers adjusted to 10 rnd. mags and the major mag manufacturers still make them for the States who limit rounds to 10.
I have a few for Glock and Sigs I purchased during that time period I use occasionally at the range.

Oat_Action_ManIf you already have standard capacity mags, products also exist to block your magazines to 10 rounds if you have magazines that need to be converted to that capacity.

pwelch001Welcome to the forum, it’s the best place on the internet!
You definitely got a great deal, gorgeous pistol, congratulations. I can’t believe what you have to go through to have a pistol, you are a true shooter, people here, not here on Sigforum obviously, but in the US in general, don’t realize how precious the 2nd amendment is.
Again, welcome, happy you’re here, enjoy, this is definitely my 2nd family.

MutinyBonjour Denis- where do you shoot/belong?
I normally shoot at the Shooting club Adamois (NB Armurerie)
There are also some ways to legally own and bring in a firearm as a US citizen with French residency. It's not that easy, but it is much less involved than the typical French way that you have outlined above. I belong to a shooting club, I can rent whatever from the club and legally have my own Class B firearms, but I have never shot a pellet gun, .22 or any of that stuff or had to wait a year.
