I've got a P365XL I just handed off for some work to be done to it. Progressive Port, Mischief Machine Frame, Cerakote job, optic, recoil reduction spring kit, etc...

I'm pretty excited to get it back and run it through the paces.

But curious what guys that have ported think. My pistol coach said he's shot his progressive port a bunch at matches. Says it shoot impressively flat.

The only quasi-"ported" P365 I've tried is one of the Xmacro Comps. But that's just some slide cuts paired with a standard 3.1 barrel, and I didn't notice any significant recoil reduction compared to a standard XL or Xmacro. (But I also was just messing around with it to try it, and didn't shoot them side by side on a timer or anything scientific.)

I haven't shot a ported gun in a long time but I have shot a few comped guns and I am sold on them.

I owned and shot the original factory P365 SAS (that has the ported barrel) and found no difference from the standard unported model.
