Does a full size 40 cal slide fit on a 9MM/40 carry frame? Is there a gap between the rear edge of the slide at the recoil spring recess and the front of the carry frame? Thanks in advance for you answers.

There’s a gap, but nothing showing. Take a look at the VTac. Full size slide on a compact grip module. Sigs, HKs, 1911s, Berettas, Glocks and SW revolvers

Only when full or compact/carry slide is on a subcompact frame. My p250f has had an X-Carry frame since April, haven't noticed a gap.

Yes. Miniscule gap. I bought a P320C 9mm in 2015. Then added a FS .40 kit. One advantage of using the Compact grip for both slides is that only a change of slides is necessary when you head to the range (or are at it). No need to remove/reinstall the FCU in the other grip frame module. You can then use the FS .40 mags, which will stick out of course. Or, buy the Compact size .40 mags which will fit flush. ______________________ An expert is one who knows more and more about less and less until he knows absolutely everything about nothing. --Nicholas Murray Butler

None of any consequence, when using a full size slide on a Compact or Carry grip module. Back when the P320 was relatively new, Sig even sold it for a short time in a factory configuration known as the P320 Compact FLS (Full Length Slide), which featured a full-size slide on a compact grip. Model # 320C-9-FLS Below is a photo of one of my P320s, which has a full size slide on a carry grip. It's basically identical to a standard Full Size, just with a slightly shorter rail. And this configuration still fits perfectly in Full Size holsters. To be honest, I'm not sure why Sig even offers a Full Size grip. The last couple slots on the full size rail are wasted space anyway, since there's no accessory that uses them. All lights/lasers that fit on the full size will also fit on the Compact/Carry. They should just ship all Full Size P320s with Carry grip modules, IMO.
