I am thinking of purchasing one. Anyone have any first hand experience they want to share ??? I like the ability to shoot and practice with .32 long, .32 short, .32 H&R Magnum, etc including the .327 Federal Magnum. Thank you for sharing any info. God Bless !!! "Always legally conceal carry. I have a LCR in 327 Federal. Quite versatile. Anything in 32 is very soft shooting. The 32 H&R Magnum loads are a sweet spot. 80 grain 327 Federal step it up and my 100grn Speer gold dot carry rounds have some snap but nothing in comparison to 357 magnum. My best groups have been achieved between the 32 H&R magnum & Federal 327 80grn loads. The LCR is easy to carry, sixth round adds some assurance and it’s all but retired my J frames for carry. Finding ammo can be the challenge. Especially the Speer 100grn Gold dots. Hope this answered your query. ______________________________________________ Life is short. My cousins wife shoots a Ruger .327. She loves it recoil wise and is pretty damn accurate with it.

I hope you reload, or at least are ok ordering ammo online. I don't have a .327 mag but I do have a gun chambered in .32 S&W Long. I couldn't tell you when I last saw .32 Long, H&R Mag, or .327 Fed Mag on a shelf around here.

I like the idea of the 327, had the plan to get one about 9 months ago. I looked at the Ruger, S&W, then even a Taurus to scratch the itch. I came close but was able to hold off the urge, of course it would require me to load for yet another round. Yes, even if I only shot a handful of rounds, I prefer to reload. I like the idea of the 6 shots in the cylinder, over the common 5 in many small revolvers. Since I am awash in small revolvers, many 38 or 357, I held off the urge. In particular I improved the relationship with my 340PD. OBTW, I have 2 revolvers in LCRx, both 3” barrels. They are the 8 shot 22, and the 6 shot 22 mag. These particular handguns have a use, been fine, I like them.

It is my #1 daily carry in warm or hot weather. The caliber vs size vs capacity is just about perfect. For me. As to ammo- an LCR is one of those carry a lot, but shoot little kind of guns. The Speer Gold Dots are very snappy but are great performers. Federal makes a lower recoiling HydraShok that is also very good. I do reload and have some milder range loads that are fun to shoot. With two speed strips as reloads, I do not worry about being outgunned.

I’ve got a LCRX in .327 and I love it. Ammo is relatively easy to find in my neck of the woods, but I also reload for it. Mine will also shoot .32 ACP without issue but will not always eject spent cases. Interestingly, my buddy’s Taurus in .327 will eject .32 Acp almost without fail.

I have been contemplating the S&W J frame in 32 H&R mag. I like the round (I like the 32 ACP too). 38 sp doesn't have much more over the 32 mag. It does seem that 32's are making a comeback, albeit small one for now but I'm glad to see folks catching onto a 32's positives which should help bring the prices down & make it more available. Strongly considered .327 but ammo was not to be found locally. My online sellers (AmmoToGo, SGammo) supply was spotty and carry ammo was running $30+ for 20 rounds. I like the ballistic numbers of .327 and the extra round. My LCR is .357 but shot only with 38+P. Been a great gun. Tip: Ruger makes two different grip sizes for the LCR with one being much better suited for concealment. Usually available on ShopRuger.com End of Earth: 2 Miles Upper Peninsula: 4 Miles

Grab a gun had Speer .327 Gold Dots in stock as of 6 days ago. As stated above, .32 H&R Mag are the sweet spot with the Ruger LCRx. I save the Speer 100 gr for my .327 Ruger SP 101, 3in. The Speers are doable in the LCRx but very snappy. “Posterity! You will never know how much it cost the present Generation to preserve your Freedom! I hope you will make good use of it. I take the same approach as Belwolf. I also run the hottest loads comfortably in the Single-Seven. I find the .32 revolver one of the best choices for a first-time shooter. Much more visible holes in the target over a .22 and you can move up the power scale in the same firearm.

I found mine on-line multiple times by using AmmoSeek.com. I just kept looking and over 3 months I found what I needed. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Democracy is 2 Wolves & a Lamb debating the lunch menu. I have two Ruger LCR in 3237 Federal Magnum and I love them. I have 3 shots of 32 H&R Magnum loaded followed by 3 shots of 327 Federal Magnum. Nice BK guns. I have practiced with and shot a lot of 32 S&W long since it was less expensive. I wish more people used this round so the price of ammunition would come down. I am just happy that this round still exists. I have tried 38 Special Wad Cutters in a Ruger LCR and the recoil is painful to me but I can shoot the 327 Federal. Magnum with much less pain. YMMV IMHO ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Democracy is 2 Wolves & a Lamb debating the lunch menu. I decided to jump on the 327 mini bandwagon, just kept thinking about one. Yes, an interest more than a need. Anyway Palmetto State has the Taurus Model 327 at about $325. Yeah I know, it’s a Taurus. I have one on the way to try out. I also ordered reloading supplies, settled with Starline 32 H&R mag cases. I think those cases will be enough for what I’m looking to do. I’ve even been thinking of ‘bobbing’(trimming) the hammer on the Taurus. I’m looking into it further for now. The only other Taurus I own is a 10+ y/o 1911. I don’t shoot it much but it always goes bang.

Just to add, I tried some loads yesterday, 32 H&R mild 78 grain lead, 85 grain XTP, and then 85 grain XTPs in the 327 case. The 32 H&R lead was mild, Win-231, the 32 H&R 85 grain XTP with a charge of H Universal was just about right. I loaded 327 Fed with the starting charge of H Universal, it was still almost a handful in a lighter gun. For me, a full power load in the 32 H&R case is just about the right level.
