Most holsters are open-bottom with the material ending flush with the slide. Other than the extended part of the barrel sticking out, what would be wrong with one of those?

If the pistol also has "Suppressor Height" sights, there could be issues with the sight channel in the holster. I don't of any that are specifically made for that, but I know I had to file/dremel a couple of kydex holsters to clear suppressor sights. Never had any issues with the threaded portion hanging below the bottom of the holster...
That being said, if I have my threaded barrel in my G23 or G27, I like to carry it in my G17/22 holster since it does cover the end of the barrel/thread protector.

What pistol are we talking about here? If its the shorter barreled version of another pistol (like the aforementioned GLOCK) usually the holster for the longer version is just about perfect.

Hope that makes sense.
