If so what is the model and sku#?

The P229 Classic Carry is the only "newer" model that properly takes the P228 mag. Other newer P229s take their proper 229-1 mag. They can also take the P228 mag, but that is not their proper mag. And, we're talking 9mm, of course.

12131 you mentioned that the new 229 9mm will take the old mags. How sloppy is the fit? would you use it?

They're all "sloppy" to some degree, old mags or new proper mags (229-1). Yes, I use it (old mag) in the 229-1 frame. Never had an issue.

So...I've had two P229 legions, and I can tell you the Mec-Gar 15 round P228/P229 mags (NOT P229-1 mags) fit just fine, without a lot of play.

nice to know..that makes shopping a bit easier
