Lefty SigBATFE says they will implement the Form 4999 which means most current brace configurations will be considered stocks and thus SBR's under NFA.
Timing is end of August per the Federal Register announcement in January.
However, I expect various Pro-2A groups to file for an injunction based on various reasons - braces have been legal since 2012, there are millions in circulation and thus in common use, BATFE refused to certify braces as OK or not after the first couple were given the OK, but all braces already given the OK should remain legal, there is no evidence of braced pistols being used in crime to any significant degree, and ADA concerns for people with only one functioning arm.
ADA concerns:
Why is adjustable LOP a problem? It is intended to better fit the length of the shooters forearm and position the brace in the ideal location. Why is 13+" LOP on a brace considered a "stock" if it best fits the length of the forearm of the person using it? Why are elastic straps bad and non elastic straps good? I think this is the best strategy - make sure the BATFE cannot restrict brace features that are of benefit to best fit the brace to a person with one arm.

I read that also.
My pistol now identifies itself as a rifle so I'm good.

Austin228Currently, what I'm seeing is the ATF is gonna consider braces stocks on 8/4/2022
Here's a article about some things coming down the pipe including changing the definition of firearm and receiver which I need to read more on.

twpayne75I dumped a ton of money in one. Wouldn't cycle defensive loads for shit. Even replaced the barrel with an In Lead We Trust barrel so it didn't look retarded, still wouldn't cycle defensive rounds consistently. Moved it on down the road.
Wish I still had it to at least try the new mags.
