Wild in Wyoming

Local store has a LNIB Sig P250 "2SUM" (full size frame and slide and subcompact frame and slide).
Do not currently know caliber.
Should I consider buying it (the subcompact could be a carry piece)?
Price is $475.

PC

Question:
Consider purchase or not?

Choices:
Yes
No
Depends on caliber

Nothing wrong with the P250, just be aware that the trigger is not for everyone. Its not bad, its smooth but long. Personally it wasn't for me, but there was nothing wrong with the pistol, I had several. They were all accurate, reliable, good shooters. I just didn't click with the triggers and I was hip deep in Glock love at the time so I sold them when the P320 came along, but it was preference, not performance.

I voted “no”. I like the P250, I had a FS in .45, a C in .40, still have a C in 9mm and SC in 9mm & .40. I am in the minority that likes DAO; I have eight. DAO guns are difficult to resell here, unless they are cheap.

.40 S&W and .357 Sig guns are not popular here either and bring less than a 9mm or .45 will.

You should be able to find a used compact for $300.00 or less, then add a SC grip module and a few magazines for under $75.00. The C upper fits on a SC grip module; there is little difference in length between the two uppers.

I also vote no. They are a nice pistol but if you don't like it, prepare to sell it for a big loss. I had one years ago, about a year after they came out. It shot great but the trigger pull was long, like a dao trigger for every shot but it was smooth. There is no short reset for the following shot(s). When I sold it, I think I got almost half of what I paid. Unless you have shot one prior to buying and really liked it, I would look into some other pistol. For a compact, you can't go wrong with the 320 or the Glock 19. Both have similar features, have a lot of aftermarket support and are a much better deal than the 250. The price is also what the combo should sell for new not used.

I voted no, and I own 4 P250s and am a huge fan of them. I voted no because to me this isn't a good deal, unless you specifically want those configurations.

I prefer the subcompact frame (I hate rails except on my nightstand gun with a light) with a compact slide. I also use compact mags with an X-grip so that I have more capacity for carry.

I love the trigger on the P250, and it has made me a much more deliberate shooter. The trigger is very smoothe, much like that of a good double-action revolver.

Phone's ringing, Dude.
