I stop by weekly and they've come to know me pretty well, having sold me several rare or hard to find things over time. I didn't get by over the weekend so I stopped today on my way home and asked what I missed.

A few random things, notably a Python for $2700. I replied that for that money, I'd rather buy a new Manurhin MR-88 for that amount. He said 'well, today's your day then' and pulls a hard-chromed MR-73 out of the case that had just come in on consignment.

It was so fairly priced, I didn't even try to work a better deal. Win some, lose some right? I wanted one of these when AIM Surplus sold them (way too cheap) awhile back. Score.

new (to me) wheelgun hotness from La France

Good advice! Yes it does. First dibs on things they know you have an interest in Wink

Nice score. My local shop doesn't get much interesting in but I've been lucky here to find a few things.

Nice score. I have both a Python and one of the AIM M73s. The Python stays in the safe (and may go on the block soon).
Oh yeah, when I walk into my local it's like Norm on Cheers.

I hit both shops in Leesburg weekly and Manassas 1-2x/month. This find was from LG

Nah, it usually costs. Especially when they know you like old imports. The upside is getting friend prices when digging things out of "junk" bins.

I was hoping so but I most certainly did take the grips off and the side plate and gave it a good inspection right after he posted that. LOL.
