How do you have your X5 L1 trigger set?
The L1 trigger break force can be adjusted in the range of about 2 to 4 lbs. I'm curious to know if anyone sets the break force to anything other than the lightest setting.

If so, why? And what break force?

Me? I have an X5 Comp. It's trigger break force was set to 2-1/4 lbs. by Robert Burke.

3.25 - 3.5lbs for my L1, X6 and S&S

You are not missing anything. I prefer a proper SAO trigger job on a X5 Comp or Tactical versus the adjustable units on the other X guns.

I'm with 453030 I just shot it the way it came from Sig. I used mine extensively in steel plates and challenge and the trigger seemed fine at the time for that. I've since given up shooting them due to the parts situation.

A lot of folks have been saying that, but how many breakable parts are truly unique to the X5? Is Wolff not making recoil springs? What other breakable parts are y'all worried about? My X5s don't get to the range too often, they are mostly babied.

I have no concern at all about shooting my X5. It's a very solidly built pistol. And since I shoot 115gr ammo almost exclusively, I doubt that I'll ever have to replace even its recoil spring.
