Installing P226 E2 grip Login/Join

I have a newish (2019) MK25 with the SRT kit installed.
I ordered the E2 grip kit for it.
Can I get away with just putting on the grip itself or will I have to change the hammer strut and decocker included with it?

Most likely, yes.

Just compare the parts once you take the original grips off. The decocking lever is slightly relieved or angled on the bottom rear and the mainspring seat is shorter or smaller.

As long as the parts match there is no reason to replace them.

Maybe/maybe not, like Broadside said, just check the parts prior to installing. One thing I will add, make sure you protect the trigger bar spring by placing a credit card or the like over it when installing the E2 grips, in order top protect it from getting mangled. In fact, it might not be a bad idea to order an extra one just in case.It is nice to see Sig lowered the price on the kits since I last bought one.

I dont mean to piddle on your parade, but my luck with the E2 grip has not been good. I like the size and shape but after installation, there was a small bit of shifting that occurred then pulling the trigger. The grip would move a tiny bit on the frame. Not enough to interfere with shooting the gun, but it still bugged me. Happened on two separate guns. YMMV.

I’ve got a P229-1 with the E2 grip. It feels fantastic. The wiggle, drives me insane. I don’t even shoot it. I need to find a solution to that. Other than just getting some Houge G10.

Same here! Sold mine without even shooting with it. They need to reinvent, using the factory grip screws.

They did. The Germans did, on their LDCs. E2 texture and zero wiggle.

I like those grips! They don't have the nasty looking E2 hump.
Are those the same as the factory thin grips?

Update. They came in today and I got them put on without damaging anything. I must have gotten lucky as mine doesn't have any wiggle or shifting. Guess we will see how it goes when I shoot it.
