I own a SP2340 (original version of the .40 Sig Pro) and I find it the softest shooting 40 I have ever shot. It's even better when you swap in a .357 barrel. If your a fan of the Forty it's a great choice.

Can't speak to the .40, but if you're accustomed to the 2022 in 9mm then the 357SIG will definitely crank your wrist in a notably harder fashion. As always, try before you buy if that's reasonably possible. If not, I'd snivel a bit when negotiating price if I thought that would help.

I've had my SP2022 .40 for 3 years now, and it is one of my favorites. It's a rugged and accurate workhorse that can be put into any emergency prep backpack with no concerns at all. And with a .357 Sig barrel, it's a LOT of fun to shoot.

Same here. Even compared to a 229 or HK USP 40. 2022 prices have gone up since COVID. I would go for it at that price if you can’t get them to come down.

Waiting for Hachiko![]() |
I had one, with internal extractor, 357 sig barrel, several magazines with flat baseplate. I only shot it a couple of times with the original 40 cal barrel, liked the 357 Sig better. Had 3 nice holsters for it, which I included when a forum member here purchased it. It was very easy to conceal in a IWB holster. I regret selling it. 美しい犬

I picked up mine in 5/2018 for $340. Things are a little different now. If you do pick it up I doubt it will let you down. I hope you can talk them down at least the price of a mag. I still think it's a clever design. And if you can miraculously locate a 9mm barrel then you have a nice conversion. ![]()

Thanks, may try to grab it tomorrow if they will go $365 since it only has one mag. Checked and sig pro/ SP2022 mags are expensive ![]()

I picked up one a few years ago these boards and really do enjoy it. It handles great and convinced me that it's not plastic guns that I don't like shooting, it's just Glocks that I don't like shooting. My son did his research in advance and that is what he ended up with. He is very happy with the gun. Jim

I also have the SP2340 in DAO and it has been solid. Thousands of rounds later it has never had any issue. I know when I pull the trigger it will work every time. I also have a .357 barrel which I used for years, but since I can rarely get 357 ammo I've switched over to the .40. At first I regretted the decision to get a DAO but now I shoot it better than any other handgun I own or shot. Wow does it have a smooth trigger.

The design of the SP2022 mitigates recoil substantially. My 40 SP2022 is like shooting a 9mm. I shoot standard pressure 180gr and sights are perfectly regulated. The 40SW offers extra power over the 9mm and this design makes it easy to shoot. It’s a very good deal at $429!

I picked one up a few years ago since I was getting free .40 from work. It shoots nice for a .40. I haven't shot it in several years.

I took out my 2022 yesterday hoping the 40/357 slide and barrels I ordered would get here. I hate to admit it but I took the 9mm slide off and ended up having to read the reassembly instructions to get it back together right.... Sig sure got funky with that... I'm looking forward t seeing what it will do in 357. Fellow member shipped this slide and barrels to me with signature required and I had to leave before the mail came and so now the damn post office is closed on Monday ... will be Tuesday now if I'm lucky. I still think I like a metal frame better. My Native American Name: "Runs with Scissors"
