Looks like SA has a new product out, based on their Range Officer line. About $100 dollars difference at retail gets you Armory Kote, G10 grips, and a ledge rear sight. Seems worth it just for the new finish, but I am not a fan of Parkerizing. Don't like the bill board on the back of the slide. Anyway, for the 1911 guys on the board

Those look really sweet. May have to save up my pennies.

We placed an order for a couple of each of these when they first announced them I think it was a couple weeks ago... not sure if they've actually started shipping them yet to anyone but they do look pretty nice.

They might be a little nicer, but not Elite IMO.

I like the looks of those a lot.

Can I get one without the ELITE script on the side?

I think I want a variety they're not showing on their site - a non-railed 5-inch gun with the fixed / ledge rear sight. A rail-less "Operator Elite" is what I think I'd be after.

Now if they only could start checkering the front strap, maybe I'd believe the marketing.

Yep. Checker the front strap, get rid of the ambi safety, and offer Novak sights on a non-railed model, and you have my idea of an Elite RO.
