Got my new P365XL. I dry fired it a bunch and got the trigger smoothed out and down to just a tad under 5 lbs which is great. Getting ready for the range and found these mags are the hardest to fully load that I've come across. I had a universal loader, but I never used it much and it's MIA.

So I googled and came up with several including the one Sig shows on their website. Kind of a scissor action. What's everyone using?

I just picked up a new tac-pac 365xl this morning for a killer deal, the mags are definitely hard to load. I just got done loading the 2 15s and the 12, gonna leave them sit for a few days. That helped my 365 mags a bunch. If it doesn’t I’ll invest in a loader.

Another vote for the Uplula. I never thought I needed one, until I got my P365s. I've also started using it for loading "normal" guns too, just to save wear and tear on my hands.

The mags will loosen up eventually, but not to the point where they are like 1911-easy to load.

And another vote for Uplula. I first got it for loading tight mags in a S&W Shield. That little tools works on every mag I have 9mm and .45 acp. It makes loading quicker, easier, and leaves the skin on my thumbs!!!

Uplula.

I have 2, one in my range bag, one on my workbench.

They are the best mag loader out there.

The scissor one you mention looks cool but it also works only for 1 magazine/gun combo. It locks the mag in like it does in the firearm. If you want a dedicated platform loader it might be great.

Uplula

The Uplula is what I had and it worked great, but my other mags could be loaded fine with fingers and the loader was just to me something else to carry around. The only other pistols I have now are Glocks and the only one that's a bit of a PIA is G43, and I might be selling it if the P365XL works out as I think it will.

I'll ponder this a a bit. Not a major purchase, but I've got a lot of "not major purchases" in the misc box. Maybe I need to sort them out and Karma.

Well if I’m any indication, the 365 flavors will be your preference over the G43. I found the G43 did nothing better and plenty worse so I told my nephew it was his.

I am an Uplula guy but if I only had one gun to buy for the scissors one looks like it works well and in some ways might be easier to operate. (not that Uplula is exactly challenging lol)

I agree, best of them all. Uplula works well.

One thing came up recently, a "one magazine for the gun" shooter noted some marks on the plastic follower. I perceived it as the tongue on the Uplula scratching it - it's square blanked and the edges/corners may have been digging in. It would be seen a lot sooner when constantly reloading one magazine with plastic follower over and over. It wouldn't mark up a metal follower for a long time.

If so - YMMV - easing the corners on the tongue might be something to consider. I put it on my to do list to check after I get 5,000 rounds thru any of my guns. If ever. Plastic followers are here to stay - that was a discussion of some concern years ago when they first started popping up.

Get it? Followers popping up?

I'll go back to my corner now.

Put the first round in with your fingers, that one's pretty easy.

Then put the rest in with the UPlula.
