Impressed with the CZ P07
I’ve been wanting to get me a double/single action pistol for awhile now and decided on the CZ P07. I put an MCarbo trigger spring kit ($29.95) in it, the kit lightened up the double action by a little (not as much as advertised) but improved the single action by quite a bit. I put 150 flawless rounds through it yesterday and it is a smooth operating pistol, softer shooting and less recoil than most of the other pistols I’ve shot over the years and also very accurate.

My current EDC. Also MCarboed. Underrated pistol, IMHO.

I love my P07 and installed the Cajun kit. What an outstanding shooter!

Interesting. How would you guys compare it to a SIG 2022?

I had one when they first came out. Not bad but I had it in the SA configuration.

The safety operation had no tactile feel, none. Are they still that way? Otherwise it was a decent gun.

For me, the P-07 just feels better in hand. The 2022 is slightly larger in most dimensions but not enough (to me) to make a real difference. The other advantage is aftermarket support from CZ Custom, Cajun Gun and MCarbo is better for the P-07. No one will work on the 2022 these days. The CZ slide sits lower in the frame than the 2022, which allows for a lower bore axis. Which lots of people ding SIG for. The P-07 safety system allows you to convert it to SA only. But the SA setup did not work for me so I left mine DA. Both guns are excellent overall and great buys these days. Try the P-07 if you can.

An interesting gun, but a bit big for CCW for what it is, no? This is especially true with what's come out since it came out. 15ish rounds of 9mm can be had in a much smaller gun.

If you carry a SIG P228, P229 or P320 Compact, the CZ P07 is about the same size. Sure, it’s bigger than most of the current crop of micro pistols.

If you want a hammer fired gun, your choices are very limited. I don't know of any hammer fired micro 9mms that use 15rd mags.

I've had one for a few months now, and I'm blown-away by how much I like it. First-round accuracy from DA is better than my other DA/SA pistols (various SIGs and HKs). I too used an M-Carbo kit to smooth up the trigger; it doesn't necessarily feel that much better than the other guns, but for some reason I shoot it better, which is enough to make me like it. Mechanical accuracy is outstanding; I'm not sure if they're all like that or if I just got lucky. I let go of my last SP2022 after getting the P07.

As far as concealed carry, I find it similar to my G19, P10C, P320 X-Compact, etc.

Yes, that's true. New gun development is very heavy into striker fired. But if you're willing to drink the Kool Aid, you have a lot to chose from.

It's not noticeably larger when carrying but shoots like a larger gun. I think it's just about perfect all around. Hammer fired Glock 19 if there were such a thing.
I love the platform and shot a P09 as a poor man's pistol in USPSA for a couple seasons.
