Don't have any records but from memory- Pistols- 1991-approx 2000- P228 (actually 2 of them- shot the first till I wore it out, still have the second one and carry it off duty at times now) 2000 for about 2 months- Gen3 Glock 22- ended up hating the .40 recoil 2000-2013 (retired from that agency) Gen 3 Glock 34 (Still have it) 2013-2017 (back to work at new agency after a week being retired) Gen 4 Glock 17 2017-now Gen 5 Glock 17 In a few weeks- taking the RDS/Optics class and will be carrying Gen 5 G17 with an RMR Rifles/shotguns S&W 3000's that you could slam fire were mounted in the cars from 1991 till we went to rifles sometime after the North Hollywood Shootout which was in 1997- so around 1998/1999 1998/1999- 2005 We had issued stainless Mini 14 GB's with folding stocks. (Chief at time didn't like "black rifles") 2005-2020 Personally owned Colt AR15 A3- carried with an Eotech, an Aimpoint, or an ACOG (went back and forth) 2020-now - issued BCM SBR with Aimpoint Always carried some type of back up- Walther PPK Sig P230 S&W Shield Glock 26 S&W 37 S&W 442 Glock 43 (currently) Our off duty policy at my old agency was very lenient so don't remember everything carried. Current agency is strict as far as what gun carrying under policy but as a private citizen with a carry permit I can carry anything I want and do mix it up at times but mostly carry the G43.This message has been edited.
