Polymer frame , striker fired pistols are now being offered by most , if not all major manufacturers. In Your opinion, how does M&P 2.0 compares to the rest?
I have never cared for Smith Autos and not generally had great experiences with them.
That said by most accounts the M&P series seems to be pretty solid and the few I have shot were fine. The 2.0 feels better and definitely has a better trigger.
A member here who knows his stuff/trains etc. ran a ton of rounds through the 2.0 through a fairly short time and came away favorably impressed and the vast amount of folks with them seem happy.

The 2.0's trigger is noticeably improved over the 1.0, as is the grip texture. I like it, but there's nothing about it that "blows me away", or that puts it head and shoulders above a comparable Glock or P320 or similar. It's a quality polymer striker gun, in a sea of quality polymer striker guns.
It's my personal favorite. I think the 2.0 is one of the most under rated pistols out there. The 3.6 shoots just like a 4.25, and that is saying something at speed.
I have a 2.0 in .45acp and it's had zero issues. I like it a lot. It's more pleasant to shoot than the .40. This is the only striker fired pistol I have in this category. I have a P938, but if I run across a 2.0 in 9mm at the "too low to pass up" price, I'm getting one.
I like shooting them, though not quite enough to actually buy one being the Glock guy that I am. Better trigger than the 1.0 guns, or a bone stock Glock Gen5 for that matter. As 11989 is a 5", I'm certain you will do well by it. I admit that I did better with my 1.0 5" than I do with my G34 Gen4 (when both were in factory stock configuration).

I picked up a Shield at a net cost of 200 bucks, and have fired an M&P. The upgrades aren't worth the uncharge. They're nice guns, but the price is out of line.

I paid $380 for my compact and the 5" went for $409 when new. Can I get a hit off of whatever yer smokin'?
I have 2 HK-P30SKs's They're Porsches compared to my 9Mm and .45 Shield 2.0s.
But with my Apex Triggers and cushy rubber grip sleeves, I shoot them better than the much pricier HK's. Both have functioned 100% with whatever I've fed them and the .45 is surprisingly accurate....and fun on the range.
Both my sub compact 9MM's are very good too...but nowhere as accurate in my hands at .45 Shield.
I have no problem recommending the Shield Series straight outta the box. For Sig Fans, my 226, X5L1 and 210 live up to their reputations very nicely....and spoiled me for 9MM Platforms.
I’ve got two Shields, the original model and the 2.0. I would like to pick up a M&P 2.0 with 3.6 barrel. I like them quite a bit myself. I’ve also got the M&P 2.0 in FDE with a five inch barrel and the factory trigger on that thing is incredible. I have not had any issues with any of mine.

Smith really uped it's game with the M&P 2.0. At this point, other than third party support, I don't see Glock having any advantage over the 2.0, and the third party support for the M&P isn't bad. At the same time, the Smith has some real advantages over Glock (ergonomics come immediately to mind, as well as the option for a manual safety. )
I really like my Compact 2.0 9mm. Grip and point ability are stellar. When I get some night sights installed it'll be my #1 HD piece. With a TLR7 and the 17 round full-size mags.

M&P9 (in 5", 4.25", 4", a shorty) M2.0 I find to be very shootable - added Williams Gun Sight adjustable sights and Apex two-dot-sear to then have an excellent pistol. Replacement of sear is a simple, short process only requiring temporarily removing rearmost pin and slightly lifting the rear sear housing. Also shoot a P320C with extensive work to arrive at a useful trigger. M&P9 M2.0 plus Apex two-dot-sear results in best striker-fired pistol and (even now with prices jumping) a bargain. One opinion.

I'm not sure what your responding to, but do you think the equivalent Glock is worth $100 more than an M&P 2.0?

I don’t own a M&P but have shot a full-size .40, shield 9mm 1.0, 5 inch 2.0 9mm and a shield 9mm 2.0. I thought both the 2.0’s were really great and the shield 1.0 was also good. Didn’t care for the full-size .40 and I’m a .40 fan it just seemed like a cheap product to me. I have owned a Glock 23 and 29 and liked the 2.0’s way more then the Glocks. I do not own these either but I like the P365 and H&K VP line more then the 2.0 and have shot them more.
