I did a search without much luck so here goes my question.
Will the P220 American style[button release] mags fit AND function in a European heel release pistol?
Thanks for the responses.

The older American release magazines with the flush metal baseplate will.

The newer American release mags with the thicker plastic baseplate and increased capacity will not.

Fit? yes, RogueJSK explained it well.

Function? It depends on your caliber...

A .22 will only work with the European .22 magazine.
9mm Luger, 9x21, and 7.65mm will work in the same magazine, but they can also nosedive in one for .38 Super.
.38 Super and 9mm Steyr will work from the same .38 magazine.
45 Auto magazines will only work with the proper baseplate installed.

Let us know how yours turn out.
