With the SN starting with AM. I am trying to find more magazines for it and want to know if it takes the new-1 magazines or the 228 compatible magazines. Thanks

Assuming no FrankenSIG, if your gun has the Legacy slide (short extractor), then 229-1 mag will not work. If it has the long external extractor slide, then 229-1 mag will.

It has the short extractor so that means I need to get the 228 compatible magazines then. Thanks for the information. Now I just have to find a good deal on a couple. Can I also use 226 magazines and they just extend from the gun?

I have a couple of factory 13rders if interested; meant for short extractor slide
