He does know he could have walked like 250 yards in any direction and likely been able to just buy a G48 for like 500 bucks right? I mean good for you on that trade. I would have had that G48 in his hands so fast the Glock box would have had melt marks. "Guns are tools. The only weapon ever created was man."

I will say from experience and ownership the G26 Gen 5 is a much better shooter than the previous G26's. The match barrel with the new finish is great. Also, the grip is a bit slimmer with no finger grooves. I owned a gen3, gen4 and gen5 and I'd never buy anything but the gen 5 if I were to buy another and the 5 was also more accurate at the range.

He wanted a 48 that was already set up with optic and light. He didn’t want to mess with getting everything and putting it together. Made the trade and my son and I couldn’t be happier. I may get the gen 3 G26 stippled or maybe some talon grips. I want a few magpul G26 mags too. The P320 will need some night sights and I have a Rosen holster that will be here tomorrow. I have a WC grip on the way from a fellow forum member. Worked out pretty well I think.

Don’t take this as gospel but I seem to remember Magpul having some issues with the G26 mags, at least early on. Not saying they still do but it might be worth a cursory search just to double check. "Guns are tools. The only weapon ever created was man."
