Let me put it this way a Custom 1911 is like a swimsuit model that cooks and cleans. A Glock/Springfield/M&P/ETC is like a fat chick......it gets the job done and puts out a lot but you don't necessarily run and tell your friends about it.

No I never will.

Son, you've got more signature than John Hancock.

Is there a reply in there?

Bought the G19 gen4. While it is a good gun, I don't see buying another Glock anytime soon. It isn't addicting as Sig for me.

This is an awesome thread Para! I have been getting a kick out of it! So, I own a Gen 1 G20 (10mm) and a Gen 2 G37 (.45 GAP). Love them both, and am proud that I have the sense to own such great pistols! I will never sell either of them.

So now for the awkward part, I do not own a Sig, never have and don't really see the point except for the legitimate point that all guns are neat and need good homes!

The other type of man, living only for himself, working only for himself, doing first one thing and then another simply because he enjoys it and because he has to keep only himself, sleeping where and when he wants, and facing woman when he meets her, on equal terms and not as one of a million slaves, is rejected by society. I have no intention of ever buying a Glock- SIG makes autoloaders I like best. I cannot stand the thought of my spent brass looking like pregnant guppies!

For that matter, I have no intention of purchasing any other brand of automatic pistol than SIG- I like my SP2022 that much. And I REALLY want a P229 Elite Stainless now!

But I must admit I'm more of a wheelgun man at heart...

Just my individual preferences, that's all.

Be sure and make your six rounds count, guy, 'cause that's all you're gonna get. I carried a wheelgun through 20 years of LE experience, but that was before the bad guys got autoloaders and even full automatic jobbies. Wheelguns can't keep up with that.

And I'm almost 51- and like I said, SIGs and wheelguns are my personal preferences and nothing more. Wink

Personal preferences are a right and I honor that. I'm 74 going on 75 and began my career with wheelguns. Then I switched to a 1911 (IMHO, Colt was and is the only 1911), then to Sigs, then to Sigs and Glocks.

God God...this thread is still throwing me emails.

Who the hell can hit anything with a Glock anyway?

I can't. The trigger sucks.

And who has had a magazine just fall out of a Glock due to the fact that the magazine catch was faulty.

Me. Many times.

Oh...wait a minute Mr. Suspect...let me pick up my magazine and reinsert it before I shoot you.

yea...glock.

I love my Glock 17 gen 4. My next buy will be a glock 23 gen 4. Glocks are so much more if a comfortable carry than a full size Sig or even even carry.

Cheap shoot at my shooting abilities. Guess someone does not understand the importance of the feel of a gun in one's hand. The egrgonomics of the Glock do not feel right to me and that is an important part of my decision to buy a gun. I learned to shoot with a 1911 and do just fine with that platform. Bought a Sig P220 Match and did fine with that, also got me into owning more Sigs. The Glock's grip angle is different than most handguns I own and therefore does not point as naturally for me as others do. I guess this whole thread is just a way of promoting Glocks to those of us that just don't like them. Let me say, that it is a fine pistol and many people shoot it very well. I have not shoot one yet and may still change my mind, and than again maybe not. My other thought is that someone secretly works for Glock and wants to undermine the Sig following. (lol)

Do you find it difficult being such a pussy? It's apparent you don't have the courage of your convictions. You can't even shoot straight when your target is right in front of you. What's with this "someone" shit? You don't have the balls to say what you mean?

Robk, I don't believe I'd criticize a pistol I hadn't shot yet. I felt the same way about Glocks -- didn't like the way they looked or felt -- until I finally broke down and bought one. Now I own a 19, 20, 26 and a 30. Tack drivers all.

You're correct: the slide and barrel sit lower in the hand, the grip feels kind of blocky and the angle is different. But you can't argue with results, dependability and reliability.

You have a right to an opinion, but right now it's an unsubstantiated one. My suggestion would be to go out and shoot a box of ammo through a Glock and then decide whether you like 'em or not.

My thought is, a few hundred police departments can't be all wrong.
