yeah, the military doesn't use any polymer in anything critical. Except for magazines, stocks, HK's and of course Glocks. The military uses polymer lots of things. “Everybody wants a Sig in the sheets but a Glock on the streets.” -bionic218 04-02-2014

My duty gun is a Glock 23- mainly because I got a screaming deal on it and couldn't afford to buy a P229 at the time. I realized the other day at the range that I *SHOCK* liked the Glock! I shoot it accurately and quickly. I don't like how it looks and I do prefer Sigs, but the Glock gets the job done. I was thinking about getting a 229 and carrying that, but I think I'll stick w/ the Glock. I never thought I'd say that! ---------------------------------- LL - "punisher avatar is that I stop the bad guys."

Here is something to be considered Stout: 1)This thread deals with Glocks and those who enjoy them and those who don't. 2) You made your point about your "expert" experience and such. 3) You've attempted to post links to a Web site that is now allowed on this board. 4) You're becoming redundant almost to the point that you're a troll and finally 5) That nice man parabellum has been so kind as to allow us a significant amount of freedom on this board to do as we please. So shut-up and don't get this great thread locked. 6) Para don't tweet. Remember that. ----------------- "What if... What if grasshoppers carried .45s? So what you're saying, if I'm reading correctly, is that you don't like or trust the performance of polymer pistols...right? MODIECAST SIGS - Yes, I have a few... "The problem with Socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money." - Margaret Thatcher

Glad you gave it up, Stout. You can't win here, especially with that attitude. The Crimson asked me:
I was a bit unclear. Tough in terms of pushing the limits of our manufacturing capabilities. Needed extremely high temps, and ran so slow as to limit profitability. Messy as hell. To get this back on topic: now that I have new holsters and have been carrying my new Glock, the feeling is "Where have you BEEN all my life?!" I honestly am unsure about when I'll feel the need to carry anything else. And dare I say, I actually caught myself thinking about getting more of them. CRStout, Moderated Status, seven days. I told you to stop shitting on my thread, and what did you do? You apologized and then took another dump. I don't want to see any more of this weirdness from you. Oh, that's not true. No, not most of us. All of us. Now that is the truth. Right. Just like I didn't place you on Moderated Status for a week.

I love the Glock. I had a 19 refurb which I had to sell for the money, but I would absolutely buy another 19 and Baby Glocks again.... Luctor et Emergo

Para, soory to disappont you but I've been watching this thread since it started and I still haven't purchased a Glock. However, I have purchased 3 Smith & Wesson revolvers, all in stainless steel. Fact is that I enjoy shooting revolvers more than semi's on most day's because they don't make me stoop to pick up the brass. In my case, Glock will have to acquire Korth and start producing the Korth revolver under the Glock brand name before Glock will get my interest. However, I will admit to having my interest peekd a bit when I spotted a Glock 24 long slide in a local dealers showcase, mostly because I didn't know that Glock had ever made a long slide semi. I've stopped counting.

I added a 10mm (meow) Glock today to my stable (already full of Glocks). An unfired G29 with 3 mags and night sights! My first foray into the land of the 10mm. Can't wait to shoot it! MPrimo Sigs, Glocks, 1911s, M&Ps ... well, you get the point!

Only pistol in the world uglier'n a Glock is a LONGSLIDE Glock. Glocks is uglier than a tree full of toads. Uglier than a bucket of snot. You get the picture. 51 years old, shooting since 9. Never owned one.... Will NOT own a Glock. H. __________________________________________________________________________ "If everybody's thinking alike, somebody's not thinking." Gen. George S. If I ever have to draw my gun I am not planning on using it to dazzle someone to death. I care about functionality more than looks everyday. They could start engraving a scene from the reenactment of 2 girls 1 cup staring Cher and Rosie O'Donnell on the side and I would still buy another one. I would probably get that buffed out though... I do agree that a longslide Glock is ugly as hell but I still want one. “Everybody wants a Sig in the sheets but a Glock on the streets.” -bionic218 04-02-2014

This thread has been around so long I have since bought, and subsequently sold, my last Glock (a G19) in favor of the S&W M&P .40c. I may own a Glock again someday due to the reliability and functionality, I currently have no regrets of being glockless.
