Do you own any dagger mags? I own a few and ran them through a pistol class a few weeks back. They are ok, but they feel inferior to Shield mags and they take a little more convincing to drop out of the magwell.
Sorry, I just saw this. I had four, now I have eight. They've been great for me, honestly. I don't own any Shield mags, I just skipped to these to try out since I didn't need to buy the magazine catch. I got the type with their "micro slick" finish and they've been 100%, and no issues dropping free. The only thing on them that feels cheap to me is the base plate, but again, it flexes to a certain point and stops. May replace them with something else eventually, but I'm not terrible worried about it. The bodies seem perfectly solid and the followers move smoothly without binding anywhere.
After I read what you wrote, I took all of them and tested how well they eject empty and full, slide closed and locked back and noticed no difference. There's zero drag. Did you get the ones with the black finish? Mine are the polished stainless type.

DOJ fed agencies pretty much all authorized Shield mags, metal mag releases and Hornady 135 grain ammo. I know for a fact ATF, DEA and the USMS all had them. Which was the agencies I dealt with the most when I was a TFO. They were personal purchase items and not issued.
DOJ follows whatever the FBI does usually.

Interesting, I bet that got Glock to work on a metal magazine. I still have a burning question of how many rounds of .30super carry would fit in a Shield Arms metal Glock 43 magazine.

Uhhhhh ohhhhhhhhhh! My Glock (OEM/Mecgar) 43X 15 round magazines DO NOT work in my PSA Micro Dagger frame.

That sucks. I wouldn’t try the Promags.

By don’t work do you mean completely like won’t fit/won’t/feed/won’t eject etc or is it just a fitment issue? If the latter you might be able to use the old hair dryer / heat gun trick with the magazine inserted to “form the frame” to it.
Just a thought.

The magazine slides in just fine however the magazine tops out before it can reach the magazine catch. So it slides in and drops free just fine however you can’t insert it far enough to get the magazine catch/release. This is an unloaded magazine with the slide on and off. I gave it a pretty solid wop and no dice. I put a lot of pressure from the bottom and felt like it was going to damage something

IME, the Dagger mags have been no problem at all in any of my 43X Glocks. Drop free, work fine with no stoppages, and 15 rounds.
I got 5 of the new Glock 15 rounders from GT distributors and was very impressed with their service. I'd never heard of them till someone on this forum mentioned them.
Been trying to find a Grit Grip 43X frame complete with parts, but so far no luck. I suppose I could cannibalize one of my 43Xs, but I was hoping to find the GG frame complete, then sell/trade one of the 43X pistols to recover some of the $ I spent.
Oh, well, I check the GG site at least once a day, figure that eventually I will get one.

Did you put your email in the notification list for the frame? I did that for the magwell they've been out of. I got tired of waiting for the assembled frame and ordered a stripped one. They shipped it to my FFL 4 days later, and I'll have it Monday or Tuesday.
EDIT: How odd, right after posting this, I got the email for the magwell. If anyone is waiting on a Grit Grips 43x frame magwell, they have them in stock. Just ordered mine.

Nice, and thank you. I like the flat-faced trigger of my Gen 6, so I will be ordering the PolyDAT trigger. Just not sure what the difference is in the trigger bars? Might as well order one of their plastic shoes for my G45 too.
Any problems with the Glock 15 rd mags fitting in the Grit Grip? This message has been edited. Last edited by: 1lowlife,

I had a polydat on my original 43x and loved it. sold it with it because i couldn't find the factory trigger. lol
I have 5 of the new 15rd mags (two came with the gun and 3 I got from GT Dist).
All five fit and drop free just fine in the gritgrips frame.
I will borrow some OEM 10 rd mags and some PSA Micro Dagger mags from coworkers to try.
