Amazing...Absolutely amazing what you had to go through to get your Glock . "Congratulations" doesn't seem quite adequate for that much effort. The layers of bureaucracy and the expense are incredible. And the restrictions are at a National level, while in America there are many laws differing from State to State. Even the most restrictive U.S. State (California, New York, and Illinois are pretty bad) seems relatively unrestrictive compared to Turkey.

The SargeI am going to buy two more Glocks on Monday. A model 34 and another Glock 19, this one in the RTF2 finish. Every time this thread surfaces I get the urge to buy more Glocks. Bill
HK, Glock, Walther and SIG are my choice in handguns.
Weapon Shield CLP for all pistol care.
It is a hell of a lot easier to get out of jail than it is to get out of the morgue...

Thanks a lot, this is the life, so some people are lucky, some are not.

CzechvarI don't know if he has a reason to visit, Turkey is a key ally and NATO member. Obama runs out of town whenever he's not doing well here...Just a political stunt.

Anyways, keep him away from consulting with our governors about the firearms regulations.

I'll speak with him about that if you'll offer him Citizenship and a place to live as long as he agrees to move to Turkey immediately!

But you see that doesn't make me feel better. I don't compare myself with people living in the EU. I compare myself to people living in Texas. Because I'm an American....at least I need to remind myself.

LapopezI am now going from a Sig to a Fusion 1911. I highly doubt that this progression will lead to a Glock.

0658Lupus' information needs to be a thread of its own. We here in the US have no idea how good we have it. We know how important it is to protect the second amendment but he brings it into very sharp focus.
My request to one of our overseas members would be to start a thread in the appropriate section (assuming this has not been done before). It would show us all how important it is to stay vigilant.
By the way the thread should not be "You will buy a Glock" It should read "You will buy 5-6 Glocks" To paraphrase the potato chip ad, You can't have just one!!!

BadgerI own four Glocks. I'm looking for a either a Glock 17 Gen 2 or GL 34. Their ugly, but they work.

lupusAnd after that much pain in the ass during buying my first ''Block'',

, at last it is the range time.

.
After a little trigger time first 15 m, 16 yards shooting with my G19;
This is the last 15 m shooting of the day, I suppose I need a little more trigger time with the Glock after years of shooting with SIG Sauers;
And every one needs some kind of fun,

jeremiahjjAnother one bites the dust. Sigs are for admiring. Glocks are for shooting.
