I just bought my first Glock. A G22 police gun, looks brand new, but is 6 years old according to my phone call to Glock.
I have nothing to add other than welcome to the fold.

Anyone know of a particular Pine Ridge that was selling their Glocks off? There is one in SC and a tribal police on the Sioux reservation in SD. Seller didn't know. Just a sticker on the plastic case.
What Generation is the frame? Depending on the Gen you may be able to run 357sig with a barrel swap. It isn't recommended in a Gen 2..
Welcome to Glockdom..

Gen 4.
I don't know about .357, but I was thinking a 9mm conversion barrel.

Nice.. I'm not sure what it takes to run 9mm in your G22. The 357sig was a fun round to shoot when I had the G22 and G33. I sold my Gen 3 G22 to my SIL and sold the G33 as well in my caliber reduction years ago.
I didn't have to buy G31 mags, but I'm just that way.
Enjoy...

Does anyone have any idea why Glock discontinued the 19X MOS already? We sold the last of our 19X MOS backstock a short while ago and over the past few week I kept forgetting or was distracted by other issues at work to reorder more until this past weekend, except every distributor I checked showed that it's no longer a stocked item. I wasn't aware that the MOS was supposed to be some sort of limited run...so if it wasn't that, what else could it have been to cause Glock to cancel it (or at least put it on hiatus)?
Sure the black plastic MOS cover plate looked half-ass stupid on the golden bronze colored slide, but the gun sold well and it solved the dilemma of having a RDS on a G19X.

Besides the color/finish what would the advantage be for a G19X over a G45 MOS?

The 19X MOS has a factory threaded barrel.

Not all do.
There are three models of G19X MOS, and only one comes with a threaded barrel. (Technically more than 3 models if you count the factory neutered mag versions of these, which come with their own model numbers.)
There's the PX1950S03MOSTB, the PX1950S03MOS, and the PX1950703MOS.
The PX1950S03MOSTB model comes with a threaded barrel and suppressor sights.
The two other non-TB models come with a standard barrel and then either suppressor sights (PX1950S03MOS) or standard height sights (PX1950703MOS).
So the two non-TB G19X MOS models would have no advantage over the G45 MOS, other than the color preference. This message has been edited. Last edited by: RogueJSK,

Thank you for that explanation. After not seeing the 19X MOS on the Glock website, I looked on GB. I saw all 3 variants that you describe being offered there..

Advantage is questionable, but other differences are:
lanyard hole no front slide serrations Mag well is incompatible w/ Gen5 floorplates.

So you're saying there are no advantages.. Who utilizes a lanyard hole?
I get it some may want the color (some say the finish is more durable) as well as the 'military' look.
I sold my 19X as soon as the G45 was released. My biggest issue was I couldn't use my old G17 mags with it. It isn't just Gen 5 floor plates that won't fit. My minor issue was that I could not adapt to the baby poop color....YMMV.
I appreciate the input, I'm always willing to learn..

They did, hence the edit I did on my post over 6 hours prior to your post. I was thinking of an issue with another firearm.

Planning a trip out west this year so I thought I might need a little more power. Just bought a G29! What a handful! I picked up two 15 round mags and grip adapters from Greg Cote. As soon as my ammo order gets here, I will try it out!

I’ve always felt like the G29 handled the 10mm really well. I dare say far better then the G27 handles .40.
