You will buy a Glock

Glocks are elegance in their simplicity. Gotta love that. Anything else is just a matter of practice.

1boredguyI'd might go for an updated (fish scale) G36.

cptdeanI had a 23 and a 26, and they're the ONLY two guns I don't regret selling. Nothing really wrong with them, just nothing really special either.

MikeNHGot a set of Crimson Trace grips for the G32 today. It is now about as close to carry perfection as I can get. Still can't shoot it as good as my Sigs, but I'm comfortable enough with it.

I remember when I thought like that. Then I succumbed to the power of the dark side with a G30SF. Great shooter.

And it's this very thread that made it happen. That, and reading your constant praise of Glocks for years.

Man, I love the G19's ultra fast follow-ups!
you still want to sell your 239?

You Will Buy A Glock!

wwp512To be honest, I went full circle with the Glock. Bought my first G17, sold it, went with 4-5 other manufactures' model, including more Glocks.
For a time, my G19,26,34,21sf are so 100% reliable that they were too "boring" to shoot. To me, other than putting on some night sights, I don't have the desire to mess with my Glocks vs the 1911s.
But now I don't shoot much anymore, they are the easiest to take out of the box and fire off a few rounds without having the agony of ANY jamming, as well as the ease of cleaning these Glocks.

You clean yours?

More seriously: I used to clean my G22 religiously, after every use--just like I do my other pistols. Then I got lazy. Then I found out a friend of mine had been shooting his G34 in competition (pins) for about a year and had
never cleaned it. Then I read on GT that it's pretty common not to bother until it "needed" it. So now I pretty much just
use mine. I s'pose I'll eventually get around to cleaning them again... some day

(They
are easy to clean, when you do clean 'em, that's for sure.)

RobinatorSorry guys, keep forgeting to mention i live down under. Things are a bit (sh#tload) different down here. a 17A has a 122mm barrel instead of the factory 112mm(sticks out the front of the slide), its the smallest Glock we can own here in Oz (rules are semi auto's no less than 120mm barrel, revolver no less than 100mm barrel).Cheers

In other words, the government wants you owning and shooting BIG guns (no CCW types), is that correct?

RobinatorExcept they cant be bigger than 38/9mm, can have 357sig but not 40. Only things in 45 must be original type 1911's, can only be used in one match only. Ten round mags for everything and no pump/semi shotguns or rifles. Its a great free country. 200 million muslims in Indonesia (short boat ride away)and the government scrapped all our surplus military rifles back in 96.

popgun1Well I put a bid in of $350.00 on a gently used G19 with one 15rd mag. We'll see if I get it.

HeroI carry a G19. If I could own only one handgun, that's what it'd be. And I love SIGs.

EdmondI'm going to either pick up a 19, 26 or 36 sometime in the near future for CCW. Can't decide which one.
