I'd rather buy 3 Jennings, and a Hi Point Carbine.

I dislike Glock's that much.

Glocks are seductive, and have much to offer. They are reliable, simple to use and maintain and inexpensive. Glocks seduced me away from SIG in the late 90s. After a serious self assessment a couple of years ago, I realized that I'm just better at drawing quickly and placing accurate rounds on target (near or far) with a SIG.

Anyone can be free from the chains of polymer! They bind me no more! I still own Glocks, I just don't dance with them anymore.

Ken

It's the pistol that people love to hate, isn't it?

I have to say this: if there were only half as many people buying Glocks, as there were self professed Glock haters...Glock would have gone belly up years ago.
It is funny.

I own one Glock (21SF), but I will never love any handgun that I cannot shoot with my cast lead handloads. I once also owned a G22 and a G23, but I sold them and have never missed them much. My 21SF has a place in my collection, that is a reliable, ugly gun that is weatherproof and more or less indifferent to abuse, to which I feel no sentimental bond whatsoever. It requires little or no care and if it got stolen, I would not be heartbroken as I would be if I lost one of my SIGs.

I own two Glocks and one Sig. I like them, but Sig seems to fit my had better.

The G19 is perfect for teaching people how to shoot.

Both firearms and very nice.

I HAD to buy it. I saw the writing on the wall last summer and figured if I ever wanted a G21, I had better get it and a supply of mags while Obama was still just a senator. I remember the 1990s when G21 13-round magazines cost over $100!

Man, I got to this party a bit late.

I bought a G17 as a plinker. It now stays in my glove compartment and is one of my main HD guns.

I sold my HK P2000 and bought a G23... I carry it every day.

I sold my HK USP Tactical and used some of the dough to buy a G22 RTF. It is now my bedside HD gun.

I have owned a P220, Bi-tone P220 Carry, a Mosquito, a P245, and a P229 Equinox... they're all gone now.

Next on my list is a G21 SF.

I NEVER thought I would say this, but I am an unabashed GLOCK nutswinger.

VIDEO of me shooting my G17.

Smile

Be too careful...

22RTF, 23, 27, and 35, and I loves 'em all. The 23 is my carry piece, and I wouldn't trade it for anything else out there.

FULL DISCLOSURE: I don't even own a Sig. This forum was just recommended to me by a friend as a great resource across the board. Come to think of it, I honestly don't even know if she owns one.

I'm eyeballing the Mosquito as a range plinker, though. Between that and one of those little Walter .22 pistols.

Do you think that a deprogramming intervention would work on a "Glockhead"?

But then I realized my sentiments went with the ugly gun with those very qualities. Why I should love the pampered indoor poodles more than that mangy mutt standing guard out in the rain?

You will love your Glock....one day.

Well, I gave into the dark side and bought my first Glock, a G19, yesterday. Pretty impressive engineering I must say.

I thought it required a frontal labotomy.

No, the only way is to separate the head from the body. Burn what remains. That's your alternative.

We don't call it "The Dark Side" for nothing.
