Hey guys, I just ordered a P320 X Compact from Eurooptic because they have them for $599, which is the cheapest I've seen any P320 in a very long time. It was kind of an impulse buy, but after I purchased it I started looking for mags, and came across a YouTube video indicating that standard P320 Compact magazines must be modified to fit in the X. I then started searching specifically for P320 X Compact magazines, and can't find them listed for sale anywhere. I did see something about "new style" baseplates for standard mags. So, will standard P320 Compact magazines fit in the X now? My searching doesn't tell me anything about X magazines except how to modify standard magazines, and I can't find anything about the new baseplates. Thanks guys.

I ordered these for my P320XC, and they work just fine. Welcome to the forum, BTW. ► 6.4/93.6 ___________ “We are Americans …. Together we have resisted the trap of appeasement, cynicism, and isolation that gives temptation to tyrants.” — George H. W. Bush

The baseplates have tabs that fit cutouts in the regular grips. On the old mags the tabs are too fat and won't fit x grips unless you shave them down or replace them. The new ones are skinnier to fit either. The old style has a round retaining pin and the new is rectangular. I got a good deal on old style mags and spent ten minutes with a sanding block and now they work fine.

CDNN has the new baseplates very reasonably priced. They were a big help as I have perhaps 40 mags. The new plates work in older models, too, even 250's.

Thanks for that explanation. ► 6.4/93.6 ___________ “We are Americans …. Together we have resisted the trap of appeasement, cynicism, and isolation that gives temptation to tyrants.” — George H. W. Bush

The old magazine baseplates can be fixed in a minute with a set of nippers. Just clip off the dog ears. Done. No problem at all. You can go to the trouble of sanding or shaving the dog ears down to an angle to fit into the grip, or you can simply chop them off, without any problem.
