I have a Remington 1858 New Army pistol with serial number 359xx. I'm hoping there is a guru amongst the hive that could shed some light on when and where this pistol shipped during the war.

I know who carried it and when/where he served, but I also know this one dates to a time after he was wounded. I know when he re-mustered. Just curious if this coincides with his muster date

Yes, has inspector cartouche on grip panel, as well as throughout pistol on frame, cylinder, grip frame. All numbers match. Has early cone front sight.
