Went to a local shop, Bass Pro and Cabelas today trying to sell a lightly used P320. No takers. All said it was due to the ongoing drama. Also said the used P320s they have in stock are just sitting.

nhracecraftI don't sell guns, I buy guns...Therefore the current ongoing drama, (a.k.a. 'witch hunt'!) doesn't affect me! Of course if one is in the market for another P320, there are likely deals to be had. Just sayin'

FredwardBass Pro and Cabelas aren't exactly gun stores, nor exactly gun savvy. Cabelas closed its Gun Library, at least locally, because they were losing their asses on "collectible" guns. Still, I can see how the market is dropping. It's also dropping for just about every other gun on the market. I saw a lesser known AR-15 brand for sale yesterday at $349.

rscalzoThat has been the case for more than a year. There are too many out there, Here they don't want Glocks. If they do buy them, it's for pennies on the dollar. They aren't going to buy something that they can't make a profit on and have to carry for months.
Trade in is a different story.

Keep shopping. The Pony was listed at 299.99 in one email I got this weekend. I also saw NIB ARs going for $800 plus at the fun show today, and that actually came as a shock - I haven't seen an AR offered at a local show for less than $1,000 for some time.

Bass / Cabela's is a huge operation that buys in huge bulk numbers getting great pricing. If they pay more than a hundred for a used 320 , it's a loss. Then customers get insulted when they hear they aren't getting back what they paid, or anywhere near it.
Trade in is a different story.

Lt CHEGLE trade-in is $50 to $100 max, including for brand new unissued pistols. An agency that I’m going to be working for part time issues the 320 unfortunately and they just got new ones and even though they’ve discussed getting rid of them, they can’t because they’re nearly worthless. Thankfully I’ll only be carrying a 320 very infrequently while I’m at work and will continue to carry my 365 or Glock 43x most of the time while not on duty.

Rey HRHNot surprising for the P320. Kind of news to me about guns in general. That might be more about the economy. Too bad for me as I wasn't planning on buying until next year.

BroadsideFirearm prices dropped first time Trump was in office as well. Many consider Obama to be the world’s greater gun seller and Biden was certainly a close second. I’m not surprised sales have slowed down. Uncertainty about economic conditions isn’t helping eiter.
I have not seen people dropping the P320 en mass on the state board I frequent.

pedropcolaMy 320’s are paperweights until Sig does whatever “fix” the market demands to make them feel safe. The good news is that my paperweights, while economically worthless, shoot straight, are reliable, and are extremely easy to shoot fast and accurately. Alas, they are also banned from most places I shoot.
These aren’t a bargain to my mind. Sure you can pick them up cheap but honestly why would you?

shovelheadIn general the whole market is down. I sum it up when asked “how come?” as “we lost our best salesman, Joe Biden”. The 320 is a different case though, people jumping on the “it’s unsafe” bandwagon because the media, often not gun people or they heard from a friend that their cousin’s uncle had one go off while it sat on the kitchen table with nobody nearby.
While the economy is a factor it seems that the ones that previously made panic purchases during Covid and the subsequent prior administration have now decided to unload their purchases. The serious collectors/shooters are out there just picking up the deals.

Yup, my agency is ditching the 320 and GT Distributors will only give $100 and the FCU has to be removed.

patwIn my area, P320 pistol prices are really low, around $299. I have even noticed the FLUX Raider units selling for less than $500 at a couple places, just the frame not a complete one.
I have seen some great deals on guns lately from many brands and models. It is a buyer's market.

I upgrade our agency firearms (we do it in small lots) and I’m still getting standard trade in and the resale amount is still the same. We have 3-4 places to choose from and obviously go where we get the best deal. But the pricing is largely unchanged.
Those same sources will give you $50 for a standard 320, where a year ago pricing was comparable to Glocks.

Yep. To put things into perspective, agency buyback on a basic used P320 with no optic cut and night sights was $350 around here three years ago. I'm not sure what it is now as I haven't tried to sell any, but based on the info in this thread I've gotta assume it would be less.
We broke a holster this past week so I went to the uniform shop to get a replacement. They had a wall full of Glock stuff in a county where everybody is using P320s. I told him he needed to get with the local market, and he said he has a lot of customer agencies that are dumping the 320 and he doesn't want to get stuck holding a lot of inventory. He named a couple of specific agencies from neighboring counties, so it's definitely coming closer to home. He thankfully had one 6360RDS left in the warehouse downstate that he's having shipped up here, but I'm not sure how easy it will be to find stuff in stock going forward, and ordering direct from Safariland takes forever
