They are simply out of stock every where. Walked into one last shop and they just got a used one in the day before. Cherry condition. Owner put new thin grip kit on it,have box, the original wood grips. Shop owner knew the guy and he had 200rds thru it. Ordered sights from Gray Guns. Out the door it was 550.00..... very happy.

Nice score! I got a new one at 625 after waiting for back in stock notifications for what seemed like MONTHS.

I need to order a CGW kit for it and get it working. Haven't shot it yet (I had a 97 before and sold it to a friend who incessantly bugged me to part with it and I immediately regretted)

When I saw my 97BD on the local trader-I snatched it up! Mine has the older barrel and grips. It's a big and pleasant 45 to shoot. Did a CGW drop in hammer and spring. It made a noticeable difference.

It seems like certain CZs run out of stock, people look for them, the prices go up then suddenly a bunch come in! The Shadow 2 was like that.

Sounds like you found a Glossy Blue, excellent! I'm curious about which shop you found it in. I bought a new production 97B a while back, super pistol.

I use a 97B in bullseye matches. I had CGW put a 1911 bushing in it and changed it to single action only, added some Sugru to rubber grips, and put a Burris FF 3 3 moa red dot on it in a dovetail mount. It is excellent for a bullseye match gun, especially in the wind we have out here year 'round. Love the heavy, large frame pistol.
