Oy oy oy!

"Springfield Armory has introduced the Polished Blued SA-35, a modernized version of the iconic P-35 pistol. This upgraded 9mm pistol features a striking polished finish, enhanced ergonomics, improved controls, and a 15-round magazine capacity. The SA-35 combines classic aesthetics with contemporary enhancements, appealing to both shooters and collectors.

While the original SA-35 features an attractive matte-blue finish, this new polished blued model employs a specialized polishing process prior to it receiving its hot salt bluing treatment. The result is a pistol featuring a finish that harkens back to the early eras of this classic design.

Retaining all the appealing characteristics of the original design, the SA-35 features a slide and frame made from rugged forgings for increased strength and improved durability over the original. Further adding to the durability of the 9mm pistol is the addition of a cold hammer forged barrel.

The pistol also features improved ergonomics and enhanced controls. The SA-35’s hammer features improved geometry to prevent the risk of “hammer bite” to the web of the hand, common with the original design. In addition, an extended thumb safety offers easier engagement and access.

Additional upgrades over the original design include modern-style sights made up of a white dot front and a Tactical Rack rear sight with light-diffusing serrations for an enhanced sight picture. Also, the magazine capacity of the included flush-fitting polished blue magazine is a full 15 rounds, increased over the original’s 13-round capacity.

Complementing the polished blue finish of this pistol is a set of beautiful checkered walnut grips, featuring attractive grain and finely cut checkering. In addition, the magwell is also slightly funneled to ease loading of magazines into the pistol."

Stupid! I just bought the phosphate one. Ugh!!

For ME:
DA/SA=Sig 9mm or HK P30 LEM 9
Striker fired= Glock 9mm
If it's a .45= 1911
Suppressed= HK in .45
I like anything in 10mm

Best looking pistol ever created. Possibly best looking handgun although it would be an awfully close call with a 3.5" S&W M27, the best looking revolver ever.

Good looking pistol. IIRC there were extractor issues that SA would fix. Does anyone know if these issues were ever fully resolved?

Always something. I have a matte blued one too. I saw a stainless one at Academy too.

But the polished blue with walnut is THE classic Hi Power look.

Considering that the issue was quickly identified as a weak extractor spring, if SA Inc didn't correct this easily-remedied problem long ago, they would be earning their reputation for indifferent quality control.

We're talking about a spring that would cost them pennies.
