First range time with my new P322, this afternoon. I ran four magazines, putting about 150 Mini-Mags through it. Accuracy: good, 1--2" groups at 15 yards off a bench support. Mechanical performance: six failures to feed. No relationship to first round, last, etc.. Random rounds simply not drawn up from the magazine. No stovepipes, no light hammer strikes. Most obvious failure: slide never locked back on an empty magazine. Never. Very reminiscent of my Sig conversion kits which are not designed to lock open. Disappointing but not a terribly important feature. It's difficult to keep a count on 20 shots, however. Each empty mag caused a dry fire on the would-be 21st round. I guess I'm encouraged. Mine was not the ugly experience I've witnessed on some videos. Neither was it a totally satisfying session. For $400, and a weapon my life will not depend upon, it's a reasonably good introduction. | ||
