Those of you that have installed these, what are your overall thoughts? Any reliability issues?

I ran 150 rounds through my Glock 43 yesterday in a slow fire precision class. Made me miss my P365, P320SC and hell, just about every other weapon that doesn’t have a skinny ribbed trigger. I found myself struggling due to the narrowness, bump from the safety and the grooves. That was my reason for selling my previous Talo 43. I was throwing shots low and left about an inch at 3-7 yards and two inches at 10 and beyond. Granted, we were shooting a one inch square box at those distances.

For kicks, I pulled out My P320SC and fired two rounds at the same target and made one ragged hole. The width and smoothness of the P320SC trigger felt much better.

I’m thinking the KinetiTech might be a solution that can help me stay on target. I’ve always produced better results with a wider or flatter trigger. I went ahead and ordered one last night. Black/black no bar, just the shoe. I ordered a stock Glock 43 trigger w/ trigger bar to do the surgery on as to leave my current one alone should this back fire on me.

I’m curious to know your thoughts and opinions on the KinetiTech shoe. I know this isn’t going to reduce weight etc, but I think having more meat to grab on might help?

Thanks in advance

I wouldn't put a "shoe" on a Glock. Most other Glocks, you can replace the stock ribbed trigger for a smooth OEM trigger. Not so on the G43.

I put a few thousand rounds through my G43 with the stock trigger, experimented with connectors and went with the OEM minus connector, and lived with it.

I finally put a Precision Overwatch FALX trigger in it; same contour and as the factory one but smooth, and the trigger safety tab goes flush when depressed. It uses a stock glock OEM trigger bar, but coated in NP3 (if anyone cares), and feels better on the finger. Mechanically the pistol has the same reliability.

Attempting to drill out or press out and replace the glock plastic trigger can be a pain and does carry the potential to weaken the bar or bend it. There are manufacturers that sell the entire unit complete. In fact, most do. Precision Overwatch even has an economy plastic one now, about half the price of the aluminum ones.

I installed a Kineti-Tech trigger shoe on one of my Glocks and am going to do the same to the others. They make a good trigger/shoe and you will be amazed at how different the trigger pull will become without changing out the original weight/springs. I have the Flat version and love it. I will be buying a few more but with the trigger bar already installed.

It is not hard to replace and they do sell a complete trigger/shoe w/ Factory Glock trigger bar for a little more. In order to remove the original shoe just use a punch and hit the pin (on the side that has the pin) and knock it through the other side enough to pull it out with pliers. Use a piece of wood with a hole in it for the pin to go into. To install the new one, it is good to have a roll pin punch but it is not necessary. Start the roll pin prior to putting the trigger bar in it. Use a brass hammer to tap the pin into the bar to make it flush. It is a little easier if you have a press you can use,but again, not necessary. You shouldn't damage your bar at all as it is in the center of the trigger. I have done a couple with no problems.

I have a ZEV trigger in my 34 with the lower weight springs but I would never use this for other than range use or competition,(obviously depending on type of competition). The Kineti Tech is a great value to be had and in my opinion, there is no need for swapping out the springs/weight to change the weight of the trigger pull with the new trigger. It really is that amazing.
