So, as many of you know I was trying to jack up the price on the Sig P230 being auctioned off here and it seems bid one too many times... (no complaints, just did not expect to win)

link: https://sigforum.com/eve/forums...0601935/m/1360069174

the pistol is now at CCR and ready to be worked on and it is time to decide on the refinishing work to be done. Initially I was thinking just to have it bead blasted but it seems there is an option for a new finish.... So, folks throw in your thoughts.

Here's a link to Cummings Refinishing:

I vote Dusk. There is a photo in their gallery of a 230 done in Dusk. It's Nice!

I am a BIG fan of the various "high lubricity" finishes like Robar NP3 and CCR Cera Plate-II. Especially for duty or personal protection firearms here in Florida

I have had firearms done in both. This slide is CP-II and has been wonderful ever since I had it refinished

Had the darker CP-II style finish been available at the time, I would have gone for it.

So I agree with myrottiety Dusk is the way to go

Brushed stainless is so last week. I like the np3 like style finishes. Maybe two tone although I don’t know how that would look on this gun. By two tone I mean the proper dark upper bright lower.

Blume....your latest 239 is CCII Nickle Boron Slide and Nikote Frame and it's a beauty of a pistol and very functional in your climate. Been thinking about sending one to Cummings and it will be finished in Dusk.....just because I don't have one finished that way.

Whatever you decide will be a winner.

I scrolled through their gallery. There is a reverse two tone one on there I think. It was a beauty!

If you're going to do it in RTT, do it all in CPII. Original on frame and Dusk on slide. CPII offers much better wear protection than Cerahide.

If you don't want the pistol, I know quite a few members who would love to have it. If you do want the pistol, you need to stop with this "just jacking up the price" crap. I don't want to hear that from you again. What in the world goes through your mind, man?

You be sure and let me know if you don't want the pistol and I'll have your money back to you as fast as USPS can get it to you.

Why refinish it at all?

I recently got a P230SL myself and I wouldn't dream of refinishing it.

Because the pistol has external wear and the price he paid for the gun includes refinishing services.

Okay Para I'm going to come back at you like you came at me.

If I did not want the pistol I would not have bid on it. If you look back at my post I think the P230/232 is one of the best looking pistols ever made. I bought one about 15 years ago and have never regretted it. My only reason for making the comment about jacking up the price is I thought it would sell for more. I'm happy that I got it....

If all these other members wanted it then they should have out bid me.

You know just because I pick on Glock people does not make me a bad guy.....

No. Bullshit. TWICE, if not three times, you've said the same thing- "I was just bumping the bid, but, hey, no complaints."

Give me a fucking break. It's obvious what you meant by that statement. It's also obvious that when you bid on it, you were just fucking around. You fully expected to be outbid. Just who do you think you're fooling? Cut it out.

Again, if you don't want the pistol, you let me know and I'll refund your money and the pistol will go to the next highest bidder.

Either way, this is the last time you post this weird shit about "I was just bumping the bid." No more. That you would say such a thing even one time is odd, but to keep saying it is just plain bizarre. Only you would pull this weird shit. Only you.

And, "Glocks"? That has ZERO to do with this. ZERO

You work out the details of the refinishing with CCR, but once you have them make even the slightest change to that pistol, it's yours for good.
