c_zielsdorfGot tired of waiting on a reasonable P239 357 SIG barrel
So Bar-Sto came through. Took about 7 days to get the barrel. Advertised lead time was 6-8 weeks. Pretty sure this was on the shelf already...or they're smoking fast!
Took about 30 minutes of fitting. Not too bad. Only the foot needed fitting.
Zero barrel play, so it should shoot great.
Highly recommend if you are handy.

dsietsNice!
I am not handy.
I got a .357sig barrel from SIG but my 9mm "semi-drop in" I got from Bar-Sto and had a local shop fit it for me as the slide would not go fully forward.

Turbo216Reasonable and 357 Sig don't really go together anymore. I've been trying to get a Glock 32 or a 357 barrel for my USPc .40. The prices now are stupid for both. Just a couple years ago one of my favorite sites was selling the USPc 357 barrels on clearance for $125 and I kept passing on getting one. I can't kick myself hard enough now.

Yeah, at this point, I don't see paying the money for a used barrel. This is better quality, is fit to my gun and is the same price or less than what people are asking for used OEM.

specter77My latest Sig P239(40 S&W) came with a 357 barrel. I am thinking about getting a 9mm barrel from Bar-Sto. I agree that with the used price of barrels just to buy new.

GT-40DOCWhen I ordered a 357 Sig bbl. for my 239 back a few years, it took nearly a year to get.
I have been very pleased with Bar-Sto bbls.

The P239 does not require a conversion barrel for 9MM. The barrel hood on all P239 barrels is dimensionally the same.
All of my P239s are 357SIG, but I did purchase a factory 9MM threaded barrel so I can shoot it suppressed
Any production P239 barrel will fit and function in the 357SIG or 40S&W slides

jlb226I find this post rather amusing.
I owned a P239 .40, with a factory .357 Sig barrel about 2 decades ago. I eventually decided that if I had to use it in self defense, if nothing else, it would act like a “flash bang”, and deafen/blind everyone in the room, even if no one was “hit”. So I broke my own “never sell a gun” rule. I still have a .40/.357 P229.
The amusing part for me, was that (again about 2 decades ago) I ordered a Bar-Sto 9mm conversion barrel, for the P229 mentioned above, and waited for something like 15 months, and 2 address updates, to actually receive the barrel. I haven’t bothered even thinking about a Bar-Sto product since then.

Sig M11I picked up a LNIB P239 (40S&W) a couple of years ago. It took six months of hard searching to dig out an OEM .357Sig barrel. Dodged one scam...fell for another...
Thought I had won more than won auction at various sites only to be sent a p229 barrel.
But I got one...and it is fantastic!

Turbo216Have you tried out your new barrel yet? I just got a VERY nice P239 .40 at my LGS for a great price. I'm extremely interested in picking up a Bar-Sto barrel in 357 Sig.

inspcalahanawesome! Barsto makes a great product that I'm sure you'll be happy with.
The P239 in .357sig with a .40 and a 9mm barrel is one of the best guns in the safe.... several calibers, easy to swap out and just overall a pleasure to shoot and carry.
