Good range day this weekend: P220ST Suppressed, S&W 457D, HK P30SK
I took a couple of pistols to the range this weekend that I haven't shot in while and a new one to function test:
SIG P220ST: I mostly use my Octane 45 with 9mm pistols due to ammo costs. This P220ST hadn't been to the range for a while and I forgot what a great suppressor host it is. 45ACP has an awesome sound through a silencer and the extra weight of the stainless frame with the suppressor results in very little recoil impulse. Overall it's a great shooter.
HK P30SK LEM V1: This my primary CCW pistol when I'm not on a motorcycle (usually a SIG P239 for the bike). I haven't shot it much lately but wanted to test it with the new HKparts.net extended mag base plate I just got. I've got many choices for a carry pistol but this is my favorite because it's easy for me to shoot well. I don't think the extended bases helped any with shoot-ability but I still prefer the feel over the standard bases. I think I'll get two more so half my mags are extended and half are standard.
S&W 457D: I just got this one off lay-away last week. It's not a common 3rd gen variant (double-action-only version of the 457). I'm not much of a 45ACP fan but I couldn't pass this one up at the price. I actually figured I'd sell this one but after function testing it I think it will stick around for a while. It's a nice shooter and handles the .45 recoil well.

Congrats on the 457D! Scarce bird there. Rumor has it it was done up for the Chicago Police Department.
One of my regular carry guns is a standard, TDA 457. The 457 is still one of the most underated compact 45s out there.
Accurate and reliable and priced far less than its performance would usually demand. A very well kept secret in compact carry 45s. Enjoy yours! Regards 18DAI

I enjoy my 457 as well. One of those impulse purchases before I realized 9mm is 1/2 the price of 45 ammo.
A Perpetual Disappointment...

For some reason I can only see your P30SK photo.

Hopefully the images are displaying now. There should be three.
I ditched Photobucket after they lost their minds recently. I switched to Google Photos but started running into issues over the past few days with images not displaying randomly. After testing several other image hosting options I think I found one that will work for me.

I can see them now. I always enjoy your photos.
I didn't think Google Photos was offering hosting services. What site did you end up going with, if you don't mind me asking?

Google Photos has a pretty good system except for "third party sharing"/hotlinking. You can do it but it's obviously not reliable. I ended up going with GoDaddy for now since I have a domain name registered with them anyway. Their system is pretty good though a little cumbersome to use on a phone. I'll do some more testing before I start moving photos over in bulk though. It has good capabilities for creating albums which is important to me.
Photobucket worked well and was easy to use on a phone with the application but $400/year is too much to pay for hotlinking capability. I was paying $30/year to them and would have done probably $10/month.
