I have a 229 legion for carry and IDPA. I like that it has G10 grips stock, which I put on all my other P series guns, so that saves a few bucks. The trigger is fine. Not as nice as a Gray Guns 226 ( God I love that gun!) but better than a stock 225A1 (newest toy )i.e. Smoother and a bit lighter. Most of the comp guns run FO fronts, but I'm fine with stock legion sights. No real disadvantage at IDPA matches. I like the looks too, but that's secondary. Sigs are not cheap in general, and I accept that as a cost/value reality for me. Buy what makes you happy. Maybe I got very lucky with my Legion 226, but the trigger is superb. Not that it is light, but it is slick smooth: not a hiccup or hitch all the way back to the crisp release. And very short reset. The balance, pointability... I might buy another. ______________________________________________________ "You get much farther with a kind word and a gun than with a kind word alone." | |||
