“I’d say Sig’s CS is actually better than Walther or Browning.“

That’s a pretty low bar for Sig CS to jump.

Sig used to offer the "Combat" takedown lever which was a tool steel part sold in the Combat version of the P220. Those were pretty bulletproof. Everything else will eventually fail.

Damn, treatment like Para got makes me think I may buy a Glock. Never needed Sig service so cannot comment on them. But, S&W leaves a lot to be desired in their customer service. Wilson Combat has been great and always helpful.

Yeah, it's solid/one piece but still MIM.
Armory Craft sells three different models of take down levers made from heat treated tool steel. CNC machined from bar stock.

Style # 1. Horizontal lines on the lever. https://www.armorycraft.com/pr...own-lever-horizontal
Style # 2. Checkered on the lever. https://www.armorycraft.com/pr...down-lever-checkered
Style # 3. Sport style, slightly smaller lever. Same footprint as a stock SIG lever. https://www.armorycraft.com/pr...sport-takedown-lever

Looks like they fit "most" of the SIG Classic Series guns.

I've never had a Classic Series SIG break a take down lever or have the two piece model separate, but IF I ever do, I will replace with one of the above.

On page one of this thread I wrote:

“MIM is fine for this part. And yes, much better than the old two-piece design.”

Still true. My SIG P226 X-Five Competition has a MIM take-down lever and it’s utterly solid and rigid. I wouldn’t pay one cent for a machined part.

And my MIM take-down lever has a rivet head molded in for that Olde Tyme look. Smile

Serious about crackers.

Last time I delt with Sig CS was maybe 8 years ago + or -. At that time, they were great and all other times before that they were great.

Companies change and not always for the better.

Used Glock CS once for a defect in a used Police Trade Glock 22 - all I can say is OUTSTANDING.
