Hello to all. Does anyone have any experience with the DPM Recoil Reduction System ?? It’s basically a new recoil rod that incorporates 3 springs. Supposed to lighten FELT/PERCEIVED recoil, and faster 2nd shot sight acquisition. I know it would probably be a waste of money ($82) on just about any 9mm but I thinking it might be worth while on the somewhat smaller frame .40 P239. Does anyone have any experience putting this on any handgun. Thanks to all.

No experience with your recoil spring assembly.

My learning, over the previous year, is that I personally can control the recoil impulse to accomplish quicker follow up sights with good alignment. Most probably know how to do this, but I had not studied on it enough. It was simple, to simply strengthen my grip AND to bring my wrists and forearms into the mix.

So, if you seek a similar improvement, I suggest that you avoid spending money on a mechanical solution, but to work on your physical approach.

With the P239, most people find the biggest improvement to be the use of the Hogue rubber monogrip.

Note: I just acquired this P239, have not shot it yet and can’t go to the range due to a medical issue in my leg so I can’t stand for long. Whole nother story but I’m working on it. I agree about firm grip, good stance and have been shooting regularly for almost 20 years. I have several handguns, CZ’s, Smith’s, among others, and have my shooting skills down pretty well IMO. This 239 will be one of 3 CCW guns for me and I’d like to make it shoot as flat and least snappy as possible. I have already ordered the Hogue finger grove grip for it but I plan to shoot it in the original factory configuration before making any change. Just trying to see if anyone has any experience with this product. Thanks again.

I just wanted to mention, that since you haven't shot your P239, you may want to consider aftermarket grips if yours still has the factory grips.
I had trouble maintaining a consistent grip while firing until I picked up some Hogue rubber finger grooved grips.

Everyone has their preference but w/ the P239, replacing the grips from factory is quite common.

Another vote for the Hogue rubber finger groove grips on a 239.
