I have a Glock 43x MOS for cc. I have put shield 15 rd magazines in it and found them completely reliable. The problem is that I also have 12 OEM Glock magazines....not really that much of a problem. I have put in a shield metal magazine catch, but as suggested on their website OEM magazines no longer work. Meaning the stick when empty and has to be forcibly pulled out dragging due to the slightly longer release. I like the idea of a metal mag release for metal magazines. However, it would be great if it also worked with the OEM plastic ones. Has anyone found an alternative that works with both? I realize that the standard plastic mag releases are cheap and can always be replaced, but I would prefer to wait until one fails. Thanks!

I just regulated my oem mags to spares in the car. I don’t use them much. I have six of the shield mags, gen 1 and 2. No issues. Palmetto State Armory is coming out with a 43X clone with 15-rd plastic mags. I will pick some up to try whenever they release it. Not minority enough!

I wound up selling my polymer mags in favor for all metal. As you noted the polymer mags will get chewed up and really didn't see the benefit of keeping them any more, so I just put the money into more metal mags.
