Factory Nickel P228 with odd slide appearance
Extra bevel on the left side of the slide. Which is the more likely reason? Manufacturing process screw-up or some oops during prepping for Nickel plating? Of course, we will never know, but it's always fun to speculate. Smile

Hmmm, interesting, but it's still a really nice looking pistol!

A P228 is always a nice looking pistol, even deformed. Big Grin

That should never have made it past QC.

Still the best looking Sig ever made. IMO...

I have to wonder how many people are looking at those photos thinking, what's he talking about.

With the lighting and shadows, it's pretty easy to be overlooked.

Good, I thought it was just me. lol

I assume it is the extra bevel on the left side under Sig Sauer? I would have never noticed that. It is like going to the Beretta forum and those guys love to complain about centered barrels in 92's. I'm like, "what"?

That's the relief cut to allow the take-down lever to clear. All classic Sigs have them.

So, yeah... What's he talking about? Confused

I think he's talking about that extra scallop looking thing on the shelf below the Sig Sauer logo. Should be squared off.

* Edit- Yep ^

Here's my P220ST with the same "defect".

It's there so the takedown lever can swing clear for disassembly.

So again, what is he talking about?

A little louder for the folks in the back.

Oh okay, it's that flat grind on the left side not matching the right.

It was hand forged by a craftsman, so no two are exactly alike. Take consolation in that.

Had to come back to look at the last several posts, but now I finally see the imperfection.

May not be perfect, but I would love to own that Sig!

And they took 27 eight-by-ten color glossy photographs
With circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one
Explaining what each one was to be used as evidence against us
Took pictures of the approach, the getaway
The northwest corner, the southwest corner
And that's not to mention the aerial photography

That is interesting and not something I normally look at.

Took me too many views to understand bevel.
Misdirection with scallop post.
Very subtle difference.
