This all goes to show Sig has lots of things it can do to make the p320 a better more versatile platform.
But if they can't supply parts like they are doing now then what's the use. The 320/365 modular platform is the most successful introduction they've made so hopefully Sig won't drop the ball.

Prolly for the same reason(s) the 40 S&W and (more understandably) the 357 SIG were discontinued. The 9mm Luger cartridge isn’t my favorite for any reason except (to a minor degree) ammunition costs, but since it’s been the only chambering available in the company’s striker-fired pistols, I’ve purchased three SIGs that have 9mm × 19 (sic) on the barrels. Self-fulfilling prophecies and all that.

Discontinuing the 45 ACP version makes even more sense because the differences between that version and the 9mm are more than just the slide assembly and magazines.

Besides, if the average American male can no longer handle the ferocious recoil of the 40, and the important thing today is to have a “soft shooter” rather than power and effectiveness, just thinking about shooting the 45 would be enough to bring tears to his eyes.

Well, the OPs threads are getting far more traction now that he’s gone.

In answer to the question posed-

Nothing. Produce more classic DA/SA pistols.

Let’s face it. If you can’t hunt around and find a 320 version that will suit your needs. You’re probably being really picky. Polymer frames, metal frames, different calibers, different slide lengths. There are lots of choices out there. The community really doesn’t need 35 more choices.

I get it. The DA/SA is done. Blah blah blah. But, you can’t sell “done” designs if you don’t produce them. And strangely the “done” designs don’t seem to stay on shelves for very long.

You don’t need to “come out with” a bunch of new flavors either. Increase production on MK25s, and other non-“Legion” pistols.

When you are tone deaf to a market when you are trying to make a pistol to be the end all be all, you miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take.

I would really like them to bring back the X-five. I know it got pushed for the Legion but I really do not care for Legion.Grey guns...blah. The X-five for the money was pretty compelling. I recently am looking into getting back into Sigs and wanted an X-five only to find out I was several years too late. I was not to happy about the X-five's top plate either.

Long story short, I found a 320F Pro LDC that I think I can conjure into to what I want. Someone mentioned parts and I agree. Magwell anyone? I found one but still should be a pretty standard part Sig could offer.

Bring back the X-five with no tungsten anything. Keep the slide lighting cuts but use the Pro slide so we get a rear sight dovetail. But keep the benefits of the x-five FCU and bull barrel. I don't think it is too much to ask.

Any chance the P320 10mm will be introduced by either Sig, or Grayguns @ the upcoming Sig Freedom days? It has been quite some time since either entity has issued an update on their respective P320 10mm projects. My apologies if this is a thread drift, or I missed an update.

Align Tactical just introduced their gas pedal takedown lever for the P320. I ordered one to try out. Not a big fan of gas pedals, and the ones that are out there for the P320 put the pressure in the wrong spot...the new Align Tactical version puts the rest at or just past the pivot point, so the thumb isn't causing it to rotate as the pistol cycles.

The thing is there is already so much in the aftermarket arena that the pistol can be configured any way desired...which is how Sig designed it.

Now, if I can just figure out a way to stuff that thing in the holster with the bat wing hanging off the side...

I think a cheaper FCU with standard flat trigger and no TiN coating is a good idea, maybe $250.

But the FCU concept mixed with aftermarket options is working pretty well so far.

I like the Wilson Combat grip modules, and have a few with Armory Craft tungsten weights installed. I built up some Sig/Zev (they are made in partnership) slides that have a dedicated RMR cut, installed Holosun 507c's with PA ACSS reticles, and Dawson fiber/iron sights that are just right for a low co-witness with the optic. On these slides the optic sits lower and suppressor height sights are too high IMO.

Also built an AXG with Sig compact pro slide, Sig threaded barrel and an Armory Craft compensator. I used Sig X-ray suppressor sights and despite my reluctance put a Romeo 1 Pro on it because the pro slides need gap fillers and spacers for RMR pattern sights, and different screw threads which makes no sense to me.

Next up, maybe a Killer Innovations slide/barrel/comp. Everything is hard to get right now so I'm on various waiting lists and grab things as the pop up. Small slide parts have been difficult to get lately.

That said, Sig needs to deliver on the 10mm option. Seems to me there is a lot of interest in 9mm for general carry and 10mm for those that want more power for dangerous animals, or just in general. And the grip frame can be minimized to fit the longer 10mm mag without increasing the grip much. The few P320 .45's I saw were pretty small for a double stack .45.

But the reality is .45 ACP is on it's way out. It's got a following in the 1911 world and more modern guns like HK and FN, but practically speaking, if you want lower recoil and capacity, get a 9mm, if you want higher power get a 10mm, because it's more powerful and has higher capacity than .45 ACP.

I'll still keep a couple .45 ACP 1911's, HK45, and P220 Legion. But otherwise I'm not getting more.

This. A carbine with a P320 drop in module. Sort of like the Beretta CX4 storm, but hopefully more modern and more better.
