9mm P239 for $450 at my local cabelas.... Login/Join

Is this a good deal? It’s obviously a trade in, but looked to be in good shape. I’m a Glock guy, so I admittedly have little experience with the p239

It’s actually probably the only P series pistol I’ve never owned....

I’ve had my eye out for a p228 locally for a while to no avail.....I am admittedly not a “sig guy” (I am a sigforum guy)

Advice?

I think that’s a good deal if it’s in good mechanical condition.

It's out of production and P239 mags are hard to find, FYI the fans have been in an uproar the last month.

I looked at it...its a fair price. Its been there awhile...you likely can get it for 399. don't let mags deter you....I have spares and am local and happy to supply some (and bought that Shadow from you).

Slightly offtopic, but please let me know if you're able to get a better price than what's posted. My local Cabela's is telling me they don't budge on prices in the library anymore since Bass Pro bought them. Myself and one other person left empty handed, and we were both itching to buy unrelated items if given a small discount.

Decent price and I would buy it if I was local.

Nice shooting accurate guns. The Grip doesn't have much contour though.

I've bought 4 guns form the library and always offered less than asking. The last one 3 months ago. They typically wont work with you much on guns they haven't had very long.

IMO, that's a decent price for a P239-9. About what I paid for mine several years ago. They come with two stainless steel magazines.

Good shooters with a nice trigger action, IMO.

Do check the frame rails for wear and use GREASE.

But it'd be a detriment to mine (and we're only engaged). Next purchase for me will be a PCC.

Well, congrats! I hit 20 years in March

I just bought a Glock 40 last week that I really like, which of course demanded I get an appropriate RDS to put on it, and ammo, and spare mags...and I bought a new shoulder rig for my 1911s....my wife shoots too, and understands that accessories exceed the cost of the gun often times...but I’ve hit my consensual marital limit for a little while. The p239 would definitely be in the ask foregiveness zone...plus, as I said, there are other real life pain in the ass complications I get to deal with this week...
