andronicus320n 21 round 9mm mags no good for IPSC Limited?
I'm trying to find info on this. A guy at a local match today said that he had heard that these magazines are too long for IPSC. I can't find anything about this and wonder how it would be possible since these come with the X5 320. Yea, I know bullsh*t is common among some gun people. But does anyone know or can point me in the right direction to find out?

4MUL8RYou may want to slide this question over to the subforum on Competition.
http://www.ipsc.org/rules/proddiv.phphttp://www.ipsc.org/pdf/RulesHandgun.pdfI see no Limited designation for firearms in the rules. I do see a 170mm dimensional magazine limit in the Open division, appendix D.

andronicusSee what happens when you post after having a few Golden Monkeys? Wrong forum. Sorry.

4MUL8R https://www.gunsamerica.com/bl...ive-9mm-full-review/This article says the pistol with magazine is too tall for IDPA, but does not mention IPSC.
https://ontargetmagazine.com/2...istol-sig-p320-x5/3/This article mentions a shooter using the pistol in USPSA Limited.
It would not surprise me that the gun store fellow was trying to be helpful but didn't keep IPSC and IDPA and USPSA straight.

tha1000I have seen posts that they are too long for USPSA limited and Carry optics divisions. This can be remedied by sanding down the rear of the base pads to fit the gauge. You can find threads on this on the brian enos forum. Since IPSC largely isn't shot in the US, I am assuming that you are colloquially referring to USPSA as IPSC since IPSC doesn't have a "Limited" division. Their version is called standard and "fitting in the box" is the limiting factor in terms of magazine length, *i believe*.
EDIT TO ADD: Top post on page 2, wildsig comments that none of his 320 x5 mags fit the uspsa gauage:

andronicusJust measured one of the 21 rounders that came with my Tacops. Almost a centimeter too long for Limited. Kind of a relief as I want the Gen 5 Glock 34. The 21 round Pmags are within the length limit.

tha1000Why is shooting minor in limited even a consideration? Shoot production where at least your choice in gear won’t keep you from being competitive.

andronicusToo much reloading. I do USPSA for fun. Don't expect to beat the people who are psychotic about it. I used to be like that. Ran an STI Edge in 40, had the CR speed holster etc. It was too much like work. 20 shot magazine in my 226s or 21 in a Glock or 320 will be just fine.

casThere's an ass for every seat.

That's why I liked revolver and single stack, lots of reloading.
